Today marks a very special occasion for the military, they held a public celebration where everyone gets to visit and watch performances from different artists. One of those artists performing is NewJeans. For Danielle, this is a great opportunity to see her boyfriend in his uniform. She has seen the photos but it would definitely be a different experience if he will be in front of her. While they were waiting for their performance backstage, Danielle decided to sneak out to see if she could find Taehyung as he mentioned that he would be stationed near the stage so he could see her perform. After a few minutes of walking around, she finally spotted her boyfriend. She was in awe at how manly he looks wearing an all black combat attire complete with bulletproof vest and some other equipment attached to him. The hat and the sunglasses made him look like a hollywood movie star. Sometimes she couldn't help but think how lucky she is to have BTS V as her boyfriend. She also saw how most of the people are gawking at V and bluntly taking his photos without even asking consent. She could see how he is becoming quite tense from all the attention. Most people are not even watching the stage anymore and are more focused on him. Without thinking, she ran towards and greeted him. It was evident how shocked he was that Danielle approached him in public. Now all the cameras are pointed at both of them. He had to act like they were mere acquaintances to avoid rumors.

Danielle: Sunbaenim! Hi it's me Danielle from NewJeans! Sorry I know you are on duty but I just had to say Hi. How are you?
Taehyung: Danielle-ssi, I am doing good. Thank you for taking the time to say hello to me. People are slowly gathering now, it's best that you return to your members. They're probably looking for you by now.
DN: Oh! Umm.. ok.. Take care then. Sorry for bothering you. I hope you enjoy the show.
(Taehyung felt guilty for telling her girlfriend to basically go away. He promised himself that he will make it up for her and spoil her rotten at his next military leave. Danielle finally returns backstage to her members.)
Hanni: There she is! Where the hell have you been? We are on in 10. (Hanni told Danielle reverting back to her aussie accent)
Danielle: I just went to oppa to say hi. I wasn't even gone that long. Relax ok?
Hanni: I get that you miss your boyfriend but can you not be an overly obsessive girlfriend when we are about to do a show?!
Danielle: What's that supposed to mean?! I am not obsessive!
Minji: Guys, can we not do this here? There are a lot of people hearing what you're talking about. Relax, focus on the performance. We will discuss this once we get home. Now huddle up, bunnies are waiting.
(Their performance ended with great success that the roar of the crowd can still be heard even after they were out of the stage and into the production area. The girls finally left the venue feeling tired and satisfied although one of them is feeling a bit down. Danielle decided to leave Taehyung a message since she knew he was still on duty.)
Danielle: Oppa, sorry about this morning. I wasnt thinking, I just wanted to see you. We haven't seen each other for almost a month now.
(After sending the text, Danielle slumped on her sit which did not go unnoticed by her members.)
Minji: So.. Did you manage to meet? I can tell that its not a good reunion since youve been really quiet.
Danielle: I messed up again Unnie, I carelessly approached him in front of a large crowd. I just miss him so bad that sometimes I tend to do things without even thinking. I mean, it's already been 3 weeks for goodness sake.
Minji: Relationships man.. Its tough.. Well at least you got to see each other despite him serving the military. Its just bad timing that you guys met when they are about to go away. Imagine meeting him earlier? Maybe before we debut? What would happen?
Danielle: I know, its weird. He is not even remotely close to any of the guys I could see myself dating. I know he is really handsome, he is the most handsome man in the world but he wasn't my type.
Minji: I know your type, we watch movies together all the time.
Danielle: Exactly, he is just so pure and innocent. Sometimes I know more mature stuff than him, he just makes me wanna take care of him you know? The next thing I knew I am head over heels inlove with him.
Hanni: Ack... That is so cheesy it woke me up from my nap.
Minji: You're just jealous of Dani because he has a boyfriend.
Hanni: Why would I be jealous? I dont need a boyfriend.. or a girlfriend.. and I dont have the time for that and neither do you.
Minji: You're not the boss of me, I can get any guy I want.. or any girl I want.
Hanni: Go ahead! I will tell them that you like smelling my neck when we're in bed together!
Minji: Oh please, if you don't like it then push me away. You just pretend to sleep like nothing is happening.
(Danielle just slipped out of the conversation and let the two lovebirds bicker. Seriously, just admit you like each other already! Danielle thought to herself)
Taehyung: Sorry I just got out from my duties. Thats ok, I missed you too but we have to be very careful. You know the media. When two idols interact they immediately assume they're dating.
(Upon reading the message, Danielle's gloomy expression banished and returned to her bubbly personality.)
Danielle: No one will think that, they'll probably just write that I'm your little sister or something.
Taehyung: You're probably write about that. Or they'll write "Dad and daughter interaction".
Danielle: Ooh, I didn't know you think of me like that. Do you want me to call you Daddy instead? 😉
(Danielle likes teasing Taehyung as he gets easily flustered especially if she is using grownup humor on him.)
Taehyung: Ouch. Do you need to remind me how old I am? Besides I dont think were the only Idols that are dating with a big age gap. Right?
Danielle: Who cares. It doesn't matter even if were a hundred years apart. What matters is that I lo- like you.
Taehyung: Were you about to say the L word? Don't worry, I already love you since the first day we got together.
Danielle: I love you too my winter bear. I told my members about us by the way. 😙
Taehyung: You what?! 😱
