Chapter 10: Unexpected Visitor

It was already past midnight when Danielle woke up. Her fever had gone down and she's feeling a lot better now compared to yesterday. She remembers faintly that her boyfriend came by and took care of her. Her memory is a bit fuzzy but she was sad that he already left. She got up from her bed to get water from the kitchen.

When she passed by the living room, she saw her boyfriend sleeping peacefully on the couch. She went closer and closer until she was kneeling beside the couch just staring at her boyfriend's sleeping face with barely a few inches between their faces.

She was so enamored by her boyfriend's god-like features when Taehyung suddenly opened his eyes.

Taehyung was not expecting to see his girlfriend's face so close to his, staring at him like a scene from a horror movie. He was about to scream when Danielle covered his mouth with both her hands.

Danielle: Shhh! Baby it's me.
When she felt Taehyung relaxed, she let go of his mouth.

Taehyung: You almost gave me a heart attack! What were you doing?!

Danielle: Nothing, I was just staring at your beautiful face.

Taehyung: Why are you up? Are you feeling better now?
Taehyung checked Dani's temperature by touching her cheek and was glad that it was almost normal.

Taehyung: I'd kiss you right now but I coudn't afford to get sick in the military.
Taehyung said, his hand still on Dani's cheek and brushed her lower lip with his thumb.

Danielle: All the more reason to go for it. So you get to stay here and I'll take care of you.

Taehyung: There's nowhere in this world I'd rather be than by your side.

Danielle stood up and offered her hand.
Danielle: Come with me then, I would feel 10x better if you're sleeping beside me. You still owe me that cuddle remember?

Taehyung followed her to her room and laid down beside her. His arms are wrapped around her protectively.

Danielle: Now this is much better.
Taehyung kisses Dani's head as he goes back to sleep with her in his arms.

It was 7am in the morning, Danielle and Taehyung were still fast asleep and wrapped around each other when a loud knock was heard from her bedroom door.

Hanni: Hey love birds breakfast is ready! Dani, I'll just remind you that I have a spare key. You both should be out and fully clothed in 5 minutes or I'll bust this damn door open.

When the couple heard Hanni's threat, they immediately sprung out of the bed and into the kitchen where all the girls are having breakfast.

Danielle: Good morning everyone! Hanni-unnie for the record, we were only sleeping. Unlike some people I know.

Hanni: What's that supposed to mean? (Hanni asked innocently and then changed the topic)Taehyung-ssi, how do you like your eggs?

Danielle: Actually Unnie, let me make our own breakfast. You should join the girls. Thank you. (Danielle said to Hanni as she took the spatula from her to prepare their own breakfast.)

Hanni: Are you feeling better?

Danielle: So much better, thanks to my awesome boyfriend. Now it's my turn to take care of you.
Danielle kissed Taehyung on the cheek as he took a seat beside the girls at the dinner table and started conversing with them.

After an amazing breakfast which consists of Scrambled eggs, Bacon,and toast points courtesy of Danielle. Taehyung decided to be on his way as he needed to go back to the military this afternoon. Danielle would like to stop him from going, but she restrained herself. After all the silly demands she made him and a day-off he wasted just to take care of her, she couldn't trouble him any further.

Taehyung: Please take your medicine ok? Just rest up for today, I'll see you next week.
Taehyung hugged Danielle goodbye as he gave a sweet kiss on her head. This is always the hardest for Danielle, everytime Taehyung had to say goodbye to her.

Danielle: Ok baby, be sure to text me whenever you're free ok? Don't workout too much! And no talking to girls! I'll know!

Taehyung: You are so cute when you're jealous you know that?
Taehyung said to her as he stepped out of her house and closed the door.

At the BTS house, Jhope and Jin were the only ones there due to others being in the military. They were having breakfast while watching the news.

Jhope: Hyung, it's funny how we're always on the news despite being inactive as a group. BTS is something else man.

Jin: I know, it's crazy how I almost didn't come to the Audition when BigHit scouted me. Now I can't imagine what my life would become if I hadn't met you guys.

As the guys continued their breakfast, there was a knock on the door. When Jin opened it, someone he never expected to see was in front of their doorstep.

Jin: Jennie-ssi, how've you been? It's been so long. Taehyung's not here.

Jennie: I know, he's in the military right? I just wanted to get a few things. (That was a lie. She doesn't need to get those things, in fact she could even buy 10 of those things without trouble at all.)

Jin: Ok, go ahead then. You remember where Taehyung's room is right?

Jennie: Thank you Seokjin-oppa, I won't be long.
Jennie went towards V's room.

Jhope: Hyung, are you sure that's a good idea? They've been separated for more than a year now. Why would you let her in just like that?
Jhope asked discreetly.

Jin: You're talking as if you didn't know her Hobi-ah. She was also our friend remember? Besides, those two buried the hatchet long ago. I bet V's fine with it.

After about half an hour, Jennie emerges from V's room clutching a bag with a few things inside.

Jennie: Seokjin-oppa, Hoseok-oppa, I'll be on my way. Thanks again.

Jhope: No worries, take care now.

Jennie: Ummm, has Taehyung told you anything yet? About us?
This question made the two guys scratch their heads. Why would Taehyung be telling them about him and Jennie? All they knew is that they mutually agreed to break up and that their friends, that happened a year ago.

Jin: He hadn't told us anything, Jennie-ssi. All we know is that you two broke up a year ago and are just friends now.

Jin was getting nervous. He doesn't know if he should tell Jennie that Taehyung's dating someone else now. He saw first hand how Jennie is sometimes overly possessive and can get out of control. She even tried to expose their relationship when they met up in Paris so that other girls will lose interest in V. That was the last straw that broke the Camel's back.

Jennie: Oh! You must've misunderstood. We decided to let things cool off a bit and will decide to try again after some time. Now, I am ready to try again.

Jin knows this was nowhere near the truth as Taehyung told him detail by detail what he talked about with Jennie.

Jin: Ok, I'll let him know you dropped by. But please next time inform any of us if you're coming. Sometimes family members stay here, it could cause some issues.

Jennie: Oh, Taehyung's family and I are close. No need to worry Seokjin-oppa.

Jin is becoming a little annoyed at how insistent Jennie is.
Jin: Still, you should inform us next time ok?
Jin stated as politely as possible.

Jennie: Ok, got it. I'm gonna go now. Its nice to see you both again. I missed you all. We should hang out again. Just like old times.

Jin: Yes, when the guys are done with their service.
Jin closed the door before Jennie could say another word.

Jhope: Hyung, that was hardcore. You just closed the door on Jennie's face.

Jin: I sense trouble. Danielle should never ever find out about this. Call Taehyung, his probably still on the way back to the military.

Jhope: Already on it Hyung.
