After 10 years

I was watching the kids cos Yoko is cooking our dinner. Three years after our marriage Yoko and I decided to have a baby. We did an IVF and luckily we succeeded on the first try. Yoko was the one who carry the baby. We used my egg and found a sperm donor. She gave birth to our baby boy and we name him Asher cos he's a blessing from up above and also because Yoko had difficulty on carrying him cos Asher is big just like me. When Asher turns two we tried again but this time I carried the child using Yoko's egg and the same donor and we had our baby girl Astrid. I gave birth to Astrid and the moment I saw her I immediately I know Astrid is the perfect name cos she has Yoko's features and Yoko is divinely beautiful. So I name her Astrid which means Divinely Beautiful.
After dinner I washed Asher and Astrid and carry them to their own room. Yoko and I read them a bedtime story and gave them a good night kiss. Astrid false asleep almost immediate but Asher request another story. So Yoko read him another and he fell asleep soon after. We open the audio baby monitor and we went to our room.
Yoko and I lay down and she asked me to tell her a story. Then something came to her mind. She asked me about what happened ten years ago. She asked me how I persuade her mom so I told her the story.
Flashback
I drive to the address the woman on the telephone gave me and I was surprised to see that the address is where Yoko's mom lives. I told them that Yoko's mom is waiting for me. They open the door and the maid assists me to the living room. I'm waiting for her when I saw a woman that looks a lot like Yoko. I greet her and we proceed to talk about the wedding.
I asked her if she know me and she told me that I am Yoko's girlfriend. Well in our case fiancé. Then I asked her how she knew that I'm her fiancé. She said she already met me during one of the events both of us attended. She proceeded on telling me that we didn't have the time to talk cos we are both busy talking to other people but she said she know me. Then I asked her if Yoko doesn't know about me. She said Yoko doesn't want to be married to a stranger. But Yoko is lucky that the one who's arranged for her is also her Girlfriend. She said she saw me and Yoko kissing in front of the car when I drove Yoko there earlier.
I asked her if my parents and Yoko have already met during the process of the arranged marriage. She said they haven't. Then I asked her not to let them meet and just update me when the preparations start. I also told her not to tell Yoko that she'll marry me. She agreed. I asked for her help to not interfere on what Yoko wants for the wedding and just inform me in case I have a much better suggestion. She smiled and thanked me because she can feel that I really love Yoko. She only asked me two favours. She said not to break Yoko's heart and understand Yoko because Yoko is still young. I told her I will never give Yoko a reason to doubt my love for her and I will understand and protect her at all cost. She cried because that's everything she wants for her baby. I hugged her and told her that I will love her daughter forever and always.
End of Flashback
After I told Yoko that story I saw her crying so I asked her why. She said what if she run away everything will be ruined. I told her I know she won't cos I know she loves and honour her family. She hugged me and she thanked me for everything. I told her she doesn't have to thank me and I should be the one thanking her for giving me a lovely family and for staying with me.
We kissed and we went to sleep smiling knowing that our future is bright because we have each other and our kids.
