(In one of the siderooms of the local church, the priest is organizing some files into a box before sliding it onto the shelf.)

Giulia: Ciao, Padre Alessandro!

(As she says this, the camera pans slightly to show the kids behind him in the slightly blurred background.)

Padre: (Startles and almost drops the box as some of the papers fall out before turning around to see the kids) Oh... Hello, Giulia... Alberto... Luca... (Bending down to pick up the papers)

Luca: (Running over to help pick up some and handing them to him) Here...

Padre: Grazie. (Sliding them back in) So, what brings you here? It's not a Sunday.

Alberto: Family... (Forgetting) Uh...

Giulia: We need to know if we could borrow my dad's family records.

Padre: Of course... (Looking around the shelves to find the correct shelf before sliding the box from it to hand her the file) Here. The Marcovaldo family records.

Giulia: Thank-

Padre: But, you'll also need these... (Putting a bigger file on top of the one in her hands) And these... And... if I can find it... (Placing two even bigger files on top of the other two) There.

Giulia: (Clearly about to drop the files) G-grazia, Padre!

Padre: (Nodding, hands folded) Happy to help. (Returning to organizing the files as the kids head out)

Luca: (Noticing how she's struggling) Do you want us to carry some of those-?

Giulia: No-! I got it! Woah- (Immediately tripping offscreen onto the floor and dropping the files, sending a few papers astray)

Luca: (Ducking down to help her)

Alberto: (Shaking his head) You never learn.

(It cuts to the inside of the Marcovaldo kitchen. It's a little later in the afternoon, but not sunset.)

Giulia: (Laying out the files) Alright, ragazzi-

Alberto: (Already sitting in one of the chairs, leaning forward) "We've got one week to train. Pr-"

Giulia: (Slapping his hand with a newspaper) Come on, Alberto, focus.

Alberto: Where did that come from-

Giulia: (Sliding one of the files to him) You look through this one. Luca can look through... (Handing one of the files to Luca) This one, and I'll look through these two. (Sitting down in one of the chairs) This shouldn't take long at all!

(The kids all open the files to start looking through them, seeming excited.)

(Using a mixture of cuts and smooth animation, we see that time is passing based on the light coming in the kitchen and the positions of the kids.)

(As the sun starts going down, the kids gradually start looking more bored, and then more tired until, at last, they fall asleep. Additionally, the papers and files have been getting more messy and scattered.)
