Phoenix, Maya and Ryan sat in their respective seats as they talked about what just happened at the end of the trial.
Maya: What was Mr. Edgeworth talking about….?
Edgeworth: A memory of a crime… that I committed. A memory… of murder.
Maya: Do you really think Mr. Edgeworth killed…?
Ryan: I’m not sure. Maybe he had a dream?
Phoenix: … I don’t believe it. Not Edgeworth. Some painful memory has been troubling him recently… memory has been troubling him recently… But he’d never take someone’s life! Never!
Maya: Nick…
She said sadly, as they sat in the office in silence for a bit before they heard a certain someone burst into the office, as it was revealed to be Larry.
Larry: Yo! How’s everyone doing? Whaddya think of my performance today? I had ‘em swooning in the aisles! Huh, Maya?
Maya: S-swooning? Me? Oh… Oh, yes. I do remember feeling faint.
Larry: Right on! Tell me the truth, it was like love at first sight, right? Right, Nick? Fake Nicky?
Phoenix: H-huh? Me!?
Ryan: What? I wasn’t paying any attention, busy texting my parents about being late for a gathering.
Phoenix: I… uh, well, maybe my heart skipped a beat or two…
Larry: … I think you can do better than that! C’mon! I saved Edgeworth in there, dude! Edgey! You guys should be bowing before me! Not looking at your phone, too! Yeah! Bow before your hero!
He shouted before he started to cry as Phoenix sighed as he talked to him about the trial earlier that day.
Phoenix: Larry… You really helped out in the trial today.
Maya: You did! If you weren’t there, Larry, I’m sure Mr. Edgeworth would have been found guilty!
Larry: Hah, hah, hah, hah, hah, hah! But, seriously, Nick. That boat shop caretaker guy is pretty suspicious… But Edgey isn’t off the hook yet!
Maya: Way to spoil the mood, Larry.
Ryan: You weren’t the ones sweating on the floor at all.
Larry: Hey, I’m just a guy sitting in the audience, you know? But from where I was sitting, Edgy seemed pretty… edgy. I mean, can you really know he’s telling the truth about that night?
Phoenix: …
Maya: Nick?
Phoenix: I don’t know. But… what I do know is… I’m going to believe in you two until the end.
Larry: Us two?
Maya: Edgeworth and… who else? You mean me, right? Not Fake Nick?
Ryan: Hey!
Larry: Nah! He means me! Right, Nick!
Phoenix: Yeah, you, Larry.
Maya: Not… me? … B-but why you, Larry!?
Larry: Huh? Um, actually, yeah. Why me, Nick? And not Fake Nicky?
Ryan: Can you please stop doing that!
Phoenix: …
Maya: Hmph. Enough with the silent treatment!
She shouted as Phoenix still stayed silent as she decided to ask him about Edgeworth, as a way to make him speak.
