It all felt like a bad dream. Shawn watched as Sage got closer to the altar, a mocking look on her face.

"So, this is Serenity Fairchild." She had her eyes on Serenity. "Or, should I say 'Calista Whitaker '?"

Shawn clenched his fists, trying to quell the anger boiling inside him. He looked at Serenity, watching her eyebrows contort into a frown.

She turned her gaze to him now, "Shawn, who's this?"

Shawn felt his mouth quivering, as he struggled to come up with a perfect way to explain all this. However, Sage beat him to it.

"I must say, after spending that night with me, I was quite surprised that you didn't try to reach out." Sage feigned a dejected look. The woman deserved an Oscar.

Shawn glanced to see Serenity's reaction and watched as her face turned pale. But then, she took in a deep breath, as she faced Sage with renewed confidence.

"Excuse me, but who are you? And what do you mean you 'spent a night with Shawn'?" Her voice was oddly calm and calculative, but laced with an unmistakable tone of anger and confusion. Shawn knew Serenity all too well.

The priest who'd been quiet all this while, finally spoke up.

"Young woman, this is a wedding. There's no need for this drama." The priest tried to sound diplomatic. However, Sage scoffed In response.

"Save the theateractics for someone who actually gives a damn." Sage rolled her eyes, uninvested in the priest's 'act'.

Her eyes landed on Serenity again, her hands protectively caressing her small baby bump. "I'm Sage, an old friend of Shawn's. I'm here 'cause I thought you should know that this little one..." she gestured to her baby bump "Is Shawn's. We had a little 'fun' one night after he came to me to find information on who was spying on him at the time."

The entire congregation went into an uproar again.

Shawn couldn't believe his ears. That traumatizing night, where he'd been violated and used by this she-demon...had actually produced a child? HIS child?

He shook his head, feeling torn now.

Just then, Serenity faced Sage completely, taking a step forward.

"I don't believe you. Shawn would never do that." She crossed her arms in front of her chest, her voice rising in anger. "You're just a jealous ex who's come to ruin our day."

Shawn gulped, feeling his chest tighten with guilt. Shit.

"Oh, honey, I have proof," Sage had a sly smile on her face, pulling out her phone.

However, Serenity seemed like she'd had enough.

"Security! Get this woman out of my wedding." Serenity tried calling out to the security guards Shawn had hired for the occasion in case anything happened.

Shawn looked at Sage, noticing how calm she was. Something was wrong.

Suddenly, all the lights in the church turned off simultaneously. The congregation went into a panic but remained seated.

Shawn grabbed Serenity's arm instinctively but saw her stiffen in hesitation. Sage was already causing enough damage!

"Oh, Calista darling, just wait a second, would ya?" Sage chuckled, like the villainess that she was. "The fun has only just begun."

Just then, the church's huge LED screen which had originally been set up to show the view of the bride and groom, flickered to life.

The screen revealed Shawn and Sage in a compromising position, Sage moaning out Shawn's name in pleasure as she bounced on top of Shawn. A collective gasp sounded out from the entire congregation, many people struggling to cover their eyes.

Meanwhile, Shawn felt like his face had been drained of all its color. He turned his gaze to Serenity, his eyes pleading as he tried to explain himself.

"Serenity... Calista. I can explain, i-" Before Shawn could make a coherent sentence, Serenity spun on her heels, running out of the church.

Shawn was sure she'd broken into tears.

"Serenity, wait!" Shawn called out, feeling like his heart had just shattered into a million pieces.

The priest tried to take back control of the situation.

"Can someone please remove that from the screen?" He shouted into his earphones.

As for Sage, she laughed hysterically, obviously relishing in the chaos she'd caused. "It looks like your little 'happily-ever-after' won't be happening after all."

Shawn clenched his teeth, his eyes burning with rage.

"Sage!" He roared, stomping down from the altar. But then he paused, realizing that he was about to attack a woman.

Sage laughed again, holding her belly as she dramatically spoke, "Please Shawn, I'm with child!"

Shawn felt his eyes stinging. Were these...tears? No! He would not break down because of this snake. He needed to find Serenity.

Shawn ran down the altar, not minding the disgusted gazes from the congregation. His reputation and image would be tarnished after this, but he didn't care about that right now.

Shawn rushed to his car but then glanced back, only to find Gina and Landers hot on his trail.

"We are coming with you, sir!" they both declared in unison.

Shawn nodded, stepping into the car and opening the doors for them. He didn't really know where they were headed, but he knew Serenity had driven out with the car she and her bridesmaids used to get here.

He was going to check the mansion first.

As he drove, the silence from Gina and Landers felt suffocating, so he decided to break the silence by asking a question.

"Do you guys think I cheated on Serenity?" Shawn felt his palms shaking on the steering wheel. These people were the closest thing to friends he had.

From the rearview mirror, Shawn was able to spot both of them giving each other a look at first before Landers spoke first.

"I don't, sir. You seem to really like Ms. Serenity. I don't see any reason why you'd deliberately do something like that against her." Landers' words managed to soothe Shawn's heart a bit.

He could feel the sincerity in his voice too. Now it was Gina's turn.

"Well, sir, I doubt you did that intentionally. This looks like a very obvious case of blackmail. She probably got you drunk or worse..." Gina's words seemingly trailed off at the last part.

Oh, the girl was smarter than he gave her credit for.

They finally reached the mansion but found no trace of Serenity. Even the staff confirmed that she hadn't made her way here, and seemed confused about why their boss was looking for his bride on his wedding day.

Shawn couldn't believe it. Serenity was missing.
