"Are you sure you're okay?"
"Do you need anything?"
"Let me help you."
"Hijo de puta, yo mismo lo habría matado si no estuviera ya muerto."
(Motherfucker, I would have killed him myself was he not dead already.)These were the recurring sentences I was bombarded with each minute as she helped me in the car, out the car, and up to my room.
No one could have prepared me for this side of hers. She always carried this dominating aura around her, but under her cold exterior, was a bubbly young child who felt deeply for people.
She had been bugging me around continuously ever since I had sustained this injury and I hated myself more and more each time a groan slipped through despite my efforts, not to.
Arturo had unknowingly managed to shoot the area where there was already a bullet wound from months ago that was still taking some time to heal. I had to get surgery done to close this wound, previously and he had shot right at it, hence the pool of blood.
"AMADIO!" my eyes ferociously blinked when her yell took me out of my trance.
I looked down to find specks of blood on my bedroom floor and I looked up at her.
"I-I mean...um.. Fucking hell, your stitches came undone."
I subconsciously smiled at her acting nonchalant about my injury when in reality her actions spoke louder than her words.
"It's not, it's alright or I would have felt it."
"You pabo, it's seeping through the bandage!"
I looked into the mirror to find the bandage on my torso slowly being engulfed by the red liquid.
Safe to say, she rushed to call Tristen who was about to leave and the poor man had to stitch my wound up again.
And then I was bedridden.
"I'm okay-"
"Shut up."
I rolled my eyes after Tristen left and she finally turned to me.
"You need anything warm?"
I shook my head.
It was surprising to see her so concerned with me, her apprehension with my condition was almost weary as it contradicted every wording Marco said about her.
When my eyes finally met hers, she immediately looked down and I blinked amusedly because for the first time ever, this fiery woman looked away from my challenging stare
"You want to say something?"
She rolled her eyes and sat on the edge of the bed, beside where I laid in only sweatpants as the bandage was new and I didn't have the energy to put on a shirt ever since it was torn off me in the medic van.
