"I want the details of the guy, he looked way too armed to be from a small gang. I want every detail in an hour."
"Sì, Princesa." All hollered and I covered my eye bags once again with my Ray-Bans.
"How's his condition?" Leslie walked beside me, our steps matching.
"Not good. The surgery went well but his palpitations are irregular, the doctors are looking into it."
I stopped upon the arrival of Amadio's room.
"Thank you, keep updating me about Juan, please."
"Of course, nine." I gave her an affirmation and she stared at me with a look I do not want to namely register.
I took a deep breath, walking in the room, shutting the door close with my hands behind me.
I didn't have the need to ask Leslie of Amadio's condition for I was all aware about it. I had been with him ever since he was admitted six hours ago.
He was shot right into his back, the bullet going quite deep and had he not jumped in front of me, it would have immersed in my chest, right through my heart.
I would have died if not for Amadio.
My eyes burned and I slumped against the chair beside the bed. The nurse immediately leaving me knowing I wanted time alone with him.
"Amadio, Dio..." My voice was meek and nothing like how it was a minute ago. All resolute broke off when I was with him.
"I miss you, please wake up." I placed my head on his stomach, holding his hand above my head as he would always do so when I'd be sad and I felt myself relax against him.
I wanted to hear him calling me his gem. I wanted to hear him. Anything from him would make me light up.
"You're a pabo for doing that to me. What were you even thinking? Were you even thinking?"
I looked up from my position to his blue and white hospital suit and my insides boiled for revenge.
A languid kiss on his cheeks, eyes, lips and nose was what I gave him, whispering words for him I never dared to utter for anyone else and never will.
"You are it for me, Dio." Giving him a final kiss on his eyes, I slumped back on the chair going back to my previous position, placing his hand on my head.
My eyes zeroed in on the white wall, my mind not resting one bit, an abyss of thoughts charging within.
"Boss." I took a deep breath ready to curse at anyone who dared enter but the face Chen held told me all I needed to.
I gave a nod and he left.
"I'll be back. I won't be long." I pecked him and left, my heels echoing in the quiet room along with the constant beeping of the machine Amadio was hooked onto.
