"How's it going?"
I slumped against my seat.
I don't know why but my heart was in contradiction with my mind over something I was about to do and I didn't like it. My arms were tight against the seat, my heart pinching itself in.
"She trusts me now."
Marco's eyes lightened up like a kid in a candy store and I gulped, my throat feeling rather scratchy.
"How did you commit that my sweet boy!?" His chirpy voice, and my nostrils flared in exasperation.
"I-... " I. Never. Stutter.
Speak up.
Spit it out.
My eyes were casted down onto the checkered floor in his office and then glanced to the whiskey he had for me in a glass.
Finally, I looked up at him, my face void of any emotion.
"I kissed her." Once and then twice... Maybe thrice. I lost count.
And as expected, Marco's laugh filtered through the entire room, my heart panging with each heavy chuckle, for an unknown reason.
"You kissed the enemy?!" Another chuckle and my jaw clenched.
Enemy.... She's the enemy, Amadio. Think clear.
And then his words registered in my mind, "keep going, Amadio, you're doing great boy, your mother will surely be proud!" He shouted behind my retreating figure as I neared the door, anything to get away from him.
And left the place.
Him and his manipulations can go to the devil's lair.

But my teasing soon dropped when I turned around and he came into view.
His shoulders tense and the smile he gave me, seemed... off.
"You good?"
"Fine." He sat on my bed and I looked around, biting my inside cheek, contemplating.
