Nahko's POV
It's been a couple of weeks and still no sign of Optimus or the space bridge. Ratchet has had luck with boosting the ground bridge range either. Not that I really expected him to with just human tech. Sure the cons steal human tech to make their space bridges, but they also have Cybertronian tech to go with it. We do not.
"So anymore dreams?" Jazz asks as he drives Miko and I to base. Bulkhead was on a scouting mission for energon spikes.
"None" I state.
"I still can't believe you're a future Prime, you're so cool" Miko tells me.
"Not really" I tell her as I look at my hand. "My skin is getting thinner, less opaque" I state.
"Yeah you can almost see the metal underneath" Miko adds. "So are you gonna shed like a lizard or what?" she asks me.
"No idea, guess we'll know when it happens" I tell her with a shrug.
"Here we are, everybody out" Jazz states as he parks. Miko and I get out, and head for the human area. As he transforms stretching. "I am taking the next scouting mission. I need to stretch my legs" he states.
"No need to scout we have the location of the space bridge" Bee buzzes.
"Sweet" Jazz cheers.
"The Decepticons' Space-bridge is located right here" Ratchet states pulling up the coordinates on the main screen. "Deep within an Energon mine" he adds.
"Adjacent to a raw fuel supply. Clever. What's our intel?" Arcee asks.
"A reliable source" Ratchet says vaguely. Must be Starscream again. "So! Do we have a consensus?" he asks.
"Do we know if people can even breathe your atmosphere?" Nurse Darby asks.
"Would I be able?" I ask.
"I am not sure if you'd be able yet" Ratchet admits.
"Don't worry, I will hook Jack and Nahko up" Fowler states. "Completely, state of the art. I still have connections at NASA" he tells us. That's good to hear.
"It's to dangerous" Nurse Darby states.
"Mom, I know that this is hard. But Optimus risked his life to save our planet. And he's not even human. We owe it to him" Jack tells her.
"Jack and Nahko may be the only ones who can do this, June. But I don't want you to think for one moment that I'll allow them to travel unchaperoned" Arcee assures her.
"Me neither, besides I promised Nahko I would go with her" Jazz states.
"Not everyone is destined for an ordinary life. Optimus Prime was once Orion Pax, after all" Ratchet states.
"When you were little, you always wanted to be an astronaut" she says with a smile.
"Awesome, now as for who is coming to Cybertron. It will only be one of you" I tell Jazz and Arcee.
"What?!" they ask shocked.
"The others will need all the help they can get to hold he space bridge while we search for Vector Sigma" I state. "Personally I think it would be more comfortable to ride with Jazz as we'll both be in space suits. And may not fit on Arcee with them on" I explain.
"She makes a fair point" Jack states.
"But Jack, I'm you guardian" Arcee tells him.
"I know, but this is for Optimus" he tells her. "We owe it to him to give this mission the best chance at success" he states.
