Race for the Omega Keys

A/N This chapter contains three episodes in it. Alpha/Omega, Hard Knocks and Inside Job. I won't be doing a chapter for Patch, as it takes place on the Nemesis, where the autobots are not present. Only two chapters left after this one to end season 2 of Transformers Prime. Then Season three will begin.

(Alpha/Omega) Nahko's POV

The race for the Omega keys is on. But I don't like keeping a secret from the team. But Alpha Trion asked Optimus and I to keep it a secret though until the last key was found. Optimus and I agreed to honour his wishes. Anyway, Optimus and I are working hard to decrypt the Iacon database. While the others split into pairs to go after the keys as we found them.

Everyone is excited to be able to return to Cybertron. But all will miss the others. I don't know how to feel about it. I mean I was born on Earth and it's my home. Even though I am now a Prime. I've choosen to focus on helping Optimus for now, I can deal with where I belong later."

"Uh Optimus, ma'am keys open doors. Can they really revive an entire planet?" Smokescreen asks. I take a deep breath and focus on the screen as Optimus answers him.

"While I am unfamiliar with the lore of these Omega keys, Alpha Trion knew many secrets, and the ancients possessed technology that has long been lost to what we consider modern science" Optimus tells him. He joins me and we continue our work. Meanwhile Ratchet starts to make a sheath of sorts for the Star Saber, for Optimus to be able to carry it.

The others are talking about how much they love Earth. And don't want to leave the others behind. Jazz tried to catch my eye to get my opinion. But I stay focused on decoding with Optimus. I can't afford to be distracted. "You are conflicted" Optimus says quietly.

"How can I not be?" I ask him lowly. "I was born and raised here on Earth. I still know so little about Cybertron, how am I supposed to be one of it's leaders?" I ask him.

"You won't be alone" he assures me.

"I know, but if I leave with you all. I may never see my sister again" I remind him.

"We'll find a way for you both to still stay in contact. I would not have you be separated from your sister and neither would Primus" he assures me. "Autobots, we have decoded the first set of the final four coordinates. Divide into teams in the event that I'm able to decode another before the first team returns" he instructs the others.

Arcee and Smokescreen are the first team. Ratchet sent them on their way. While Optimus and I got back to work on the next set of coordinates. We didn't get half way through when Arcee returned with news of Smokescreen's death. How Megatron has a new saber and has challenged Optimus for the first Omega key. So Optimus went to face him alone while I continued to decode the next set of coordinates.

When Optimus returns. He has Smokescreen and the first Omega key. But the star saber was destoryed by Megatron's newest weapon. The Dark Saber. At least we have the first key and didn't loss anyone. Thanks for Smokescreen borrowing the phaseshifter, again. We let him keep it and Optimus rejoined me at the computer.

(Hard Knocks)

"Ok, guys we've decoded the second set of coordinates. Next pair you're up" I state.

"Ratchet, ready the ground bridge" Optimus adds.

"Last one to the Omega key has to scrub the Energon tanks for a week" Smokescreen states. He heads for the bridge.

"Oh no, I am not scrubbing the energon tanks" Jazz states following him.

"Didn't know we were keeping score" Arcee states.

"Arcee, Bumblebee, prepare to roll out" Optimus instructs.
