New Guardian

Nahko's POV

"You have CNA in your system" Ratchet tells me.

"What's CNA?" I ask him.

"While humans are made of DNA, we Cybertronians are made up of CNA" he states and brings up an image on the screen. "You blood stream has a mix of DNA and CNA in it" he tells me.

"But how is that possible? Both my parents are human, Miko is my twin and she has no CNA. Right?" I ask.

"You are correct, both your biological parents and Miko have no CNA" Ratchet tells me. "I believe it has to do with the shard of energon inside you" he states.

"How so?" I ask.

"Your CNA has a 50% match to a Cybertronian who died eons ago" he tells me.

"Who was it?" I ask.

"Solus Prime" Optimus answers and I look at him shocked. "She was one of the thirteen original Primes created by Primus to defeat Unicron. The Chaos Bringer. She was the only femme and she was sort of the scientist, she created weapons and artifacts for the other Primes. She and another Prime actually had feelings for each other and planed on becoming spark mates" he explains.

"No one knows for sure what really happened, only that her lover was framed and she died. Her lover avenged her and though he to passed on. But rumors say she was working on a gift for her lover, a way to show him how mush she loved him. By infusing her CNA into an energon crystal. There was never any proof of Cybertron that she ever managed to do it" Ratchet explains. "But it appears she may have done the experiments on another planet" he states.

"Earth" I say as I touch my chest.

"Yes, now as you know. Energon is usually very bad for humans. We were all surprised when we discovered the shard inside you was energon. You should of been dead or very ill at the least. Especially with it so close to your spark. I mean heart" Ratchet explains.

"But the present of Solus' CNA may have been what saved your life" Optimus states.

"My working theory is this. The Primes were created to protect and preserve life. Somehow when the CNA in the energon shard sensed that it was causing harm to a living being. It started working on a way to save it, Miko said you were in hospital for a week, correct?" Ratchet asks.

"I was critical, all the doctors believed I was going to die. But then I woke up and I was fine, in a lot of pain. But I was no longer critical, everyone believes it's a miracle" I state. "But how does changing my skin to metal protect me?" I ask confused.

"The shard appears to be turning you into a techno-organic" Ratchet states. "Not many exist, but essentially it's a Cybertronian with a metal outer layer, with a organic interior" he tells me. "Humans may not mix well with energon, but techno-organics do. In fact it is one of their food sources, though they can live on energon or normal food" he explains.

"So you think I'm turning into a hybrid? That shard inside of me is somehow alive? And is doing this to ensure I live?" I ask him. He nods his head. "Well I hate it!" I snap. "I never asked to be some hybrid. I just wanted to be a normal human girl. Why didn't she let me die? Can you reverse or stop this?" I demand as tears fall.

"If I were to reverse it, you'd die Nahko. Besides there is no way to reverse or stop it" he tells me.

"I know this is a shock Nahko, but you are not alone. We are all here to support you" Optimus assures me.

"Please tell me this does not make me a Prime?" I plead.

"It does not" he assures me and I relax. "A Prime is not born or created. One must earn that title and be chosen by the Matrix of Leadership. As I have" he explains. That's something at least. "But know that you may have a much longer life then the average human. While techno-organics are more fragile then normal Cybertronians. They are more hardy then humans" he states.
