2 years later:

"careful"Darshan said holding her hand firmly as she stepped down.
They went for a walk and came back after his mother called.

"Here"Rajal handed Harshita a cup of milk and tea to Darshan
"Maa can I also get tea?"Harshita pleaded
"Beta...din me sirf ek baar chai ko ha bola hai... you've had tea in the morning"Rajal caressed her face.
Harshita looked down in disappointment and took a sip.
"Waah mummy...kya chai bani ha-"Rajal slapped his back knowing he is doing this intentionally
"You're so mean"Harshita said

"Have you made aate ka halwa?"Darshan asked smelling
"Yes"Rajal replied coming towards Harshita with a bowl.
Darshan followed her.
"Harshita ke liye hai "She said
He went inside the kitchen and came back
"Yaar mummy baki ka kaha hai"Darshan Whined
"Bola na harshu ke liye banaya hai...you were teasing her a while ago.. weren't you?"Rajal said
"Wow...bohot accha bana hai maa"Harshita said with a grin
"Harshu"he sat on his knees infront of her
"Dur hat!"Rajal smacked his head
"Are you really my mother?"he asked sitting beside her
"Chai pi....ja"She said.
Harshita laughed taking a bite
"It's so gooood Darshan"Harshita teased
He stared at her and then looked away

"Hmm?"Harshita extended spoonful of halwa towards him
"Mat d-"
Darshan stuffed his mouth within few seconds
"I love you"He said giving a flying kiss
"You shouldn't have harshu"Rajal said
"That's the difference between a wife and a mother...Mrs.Rajal Raval"Darshan said dramatically
"Accha?chup reh tu"
"Apne pati ko diya ki nahi?"He asked
"Ofc"Rajal said
"Haa toh..khud apne pati ko deke aai...aur meri biwi ko rok Rahi thi..waah mummy waah"He laughed while clapping... making them laugh as well

"Harshu beta mujhe sacchi Jana nahi hai but you kn-"
"It's okay...waise bhi 2 din ki toh baat hai"Harshita smiled
"Ha..but I don't want to leave you in this situation"Rajal said caressing her hand
"Maa...abhi 15 din hai...and it's not like I am alone...Darshan hai na"
"Wahi toh tension hai"Rajal whispered
"KYA"Darshan asked
"Hehe.. nothing....take good care of her....samjha?"
"I will...aap chinta Mt Karo"Darshan said
"Dhyaan rakhjo beta"Rajendra said and smiled at Harshita and Darshan
"Bye...theek se jana"Harshita said

"Harshu let's go"Darshan called her
"Harshu"
"Harshita"
"Chalo baba....walk pe nahi jan-a..... what's wrong?"He sat near her.
"Kya hua Harshi?"Darshan asked wiping her tears and wrapped his arms around her as she rested her head.
"S-she....she d-died Darshan"She said sobbing
"Who died?"Darshan frowned
Harshita pointed at television
"Aish...Paagal...Dara Diya tha tune mujhe"he said and let out a relived laughter after seeing the pet squirrel of the lead actor was shown dead
"Don't l-laugh"she said
"I am not"He patted her head controlling his laugh

Next day:

"I can't come Kartik"Darshan said
"I know you are with Harshita...but it won't take long...kaam important hai isiliye tujhe call Kiya Darshan"Kartik said
"Can't they come here"
"No.I would've sent them if they could"Kartik
"Tch"
"I.... I'll let you know in 5 minutes"Darshan said and hung up

"What's the matter?"Harshita asked coming inside
"Nothing...just...kuch kaam hai to he is calling me there"Darshan told
"You should go... important hoga or he wouldn't have called"she said
"I am not leaving you alone"He said
"Jyada time lagega kya?"
"Dk...Kartik said it won't take lon-"
"Toh?it's fine....I can stay alone for a few hours"She said
"Shut up...you can't "
"You shut up...and go get ready"
"I am not g-"
"You are...They co-operate with us Darshan...if he has called..it is definitely something imp"Harshita said
Darshan sighed
"I'll be fine"She said caressing his hand
He looked at her and smiled
"Alright..I'll be back in a couple of hours..or before that"Darshan got up and kissed her forehead
Harshita smiled and nodded.

"F'ck"
Darshan cursed after stepping out of the office and seeing his phone was dead,not wasting any time further he rushed the car to their home

Seeing the usb cable in the storage box..he took it out and plugged his phone to atleast turn it on.But soon he was at his parking

"Darshan sir"Watchman came towards him
"Ha?"
"Woh..Harshita mam ko hospital le gaye hai"He told
"WHAT?KYU?KON?Hospital..naam?"Darshan panicked
"Naam toh nahi bataye...bas aapko bolne ko bol ke Gaye"Watchman said.

Darshan hurried back to his car and checked his phone....17missed calls...he dialled one of their neighbours number as the recent missed call was from that number.

Speeding his car..he asked about the hospital and reached asap

Wiping his tears,he closed the door with a thud and rushed inside

"W-where"He asked his neighbour
"They have taken her inside...her labour has started"
Darshan ran his fingers through his hair and went near the ot

"Doctor...I want to be there please...I want to stay with her"He said when the doctor came out
"Are you her relat-"
"I am her husband"
"Okay..you can"Doctor permitted

Darshan bit his lip to control his tears after seeing Harshita in unbearable pain.he went and held her hand tightly...caressing her hair and forehead

"I am here okay?Don't worry"He said
Harshita didn't speak but held his hand tighter.

"Thodi der aur harshu...I know you can do this"he said and kissed her fingers

Harshita's parents,Rishabh,Piyushi had arrived till then and we're waiting outside.

Her grip on his hand became loose and she looked relieved...so did Darshan when the baby was delivered.Darshan let out a heavy breath and pecked her forehead
"You did a great job Harshita"Doctor said and smiled at Harshita

"Congratulations Mr and Mrs Raval...it's a boy"Nurse said handing the baby to Darshan.

His lips formed a curve and eyes became moist looking at the innocent face.
"H-hello chote Raval"Darshan said and embraced him.

"Uh...Mr Raval can you wait outside...nurses will clean everything"Doctor reached him.
Darshan looked at Harshita...her eyes were closed
"Don't worry.... it'll just take 10 minutes..then you can be with her"Doc said smiling
"Please"she said .
Darshan went out

"New father in the hospital huh"Rishabh patted his shoulder.
Darshan grinned.
He handed the baby to Jayashri and they started cooing him.

"Let's go...eat something"Rishabh said
"No Rishabh....you go..I don't want t-"
"Arey chalo yaar...Harshita ko bhi thoda rest karne do..chalo"He pulled Darshan with him

"Darshan I told you don't leave her alone"Rajal said as soon as he entered
"Maa i-"
"It's okay..now that everything is fine"Pawan said
"she must've forced him to go"Jayashri said
said
"Jao...she is waiting for you"Rajal said

"Aap jake-...mai-....aaya"Darshan hurried inside and freezed seeing the baby in her arms....She was smiling all the time while playing with him...as if she has forgotten her surroundings.Darshan automatically smiled seeing them and took his steps closer.

"Oh baby...look...your father....Hello Papa"Harshita said and a small laugh came out of her mouth.
Darshan chuckeled and sat beside her.
"Are you okay now?"He asked
Harshita nodded
"The pain is nothing infront of this"She said hugging the newborn
"Welcome to the world,champ"Darshan said caressing his small face with his thumb
"Thank you Harshita....I don't have wo-"
"Tch...just shut up"She stopped him

"I love you"Darshan hugged her
"I love you too"she said smiling

The baby started crying making them divert their attention to him.

"Arey...Mumma-Papa loves you more baby"Harshita said taking him in her arms
Darshan snapped his fingers to calm him down.

Their family members came in followed by a nurse...she told them a few things to be taken care of of the child and Harshita and went.Later their friends...and all visited the new member
