I woke up to the sound of Mabel's excited shriek echoing through the hallways. It had only been a few days since I arrived at the Mystery Shack, and already, the Pines twins were dragging me into their chaotic adventures.

"Ahh! It's here, it's here, it's here!" Mabel's voice was loud and clear.
"Okay, so I was just opening random doors—because I'm a creep—when I found something amazing!"

I stumbled out of my room, groggy and confused, and saw Dipper rubbing his eyes as he followed Mabel.
"If it was worth waking up at seven AM for, that will be amazing.", Dipper grumbled, clearly not a morning person.

I dragged myself out the door, my eyes heavy with sleep as I approached Dipper and Mabel. "What's going on, guys?"
Mabel shushed me with a finger, her eyes wide with excitement. "You have to see this! I've made the greatest discovery!"

Dipper eyed me.
Feast your eyes!", Mabel exclaimed, flinging open a door to reveal a closet filled with various types of fireworks in a box labeled "DO NOT TOUCH!"

"Woah!", Dipper and I said in unison, our sleepiness quickly dissipating. My eyebrows shot up in surprise.
Mabel put her hand on Dipper's shoulder, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "Bro. Bro. We're both thinking it."

Dipper nodded, a wicked grin spreading across his face. "We. Are. Doing. It."
"Crazy rooftop fireworks party!", we all shouted together, the excitement palpable.

Just then, Stan marched up to us. "Not so fast, kids! There is no way on earth you're setting off those dangerous, illegal fireworks..." He smiled, bending down to put his arms around our shoulders. "...without me."

Our eyes widened in disbelief at Stan's unexpected support.
Mabel was the first to react. "Aww yeah, Stan train's on board!!"
I snickered at her choice of words. "More like Stan's gone off the rails."
Stan rolled his eyes playfully. "Listen here, ya smartass. I'm always in for a little tomfoolery."
"This isn't just tomfoolery, you crazy old coot.", Mabel chimed in. "This is gonna be a mind-blowing extravaganza!"

The rooftop was adorned with various kinds of fireworks scattered about. I observed the chaotic scene with a mixture of amusement and mild concern. "Here you go, sweetie.", Stan said, lighting Mabel's skyrocket with the sparkler. "Set something on fire for your Grunkle Stan."
"I AM THE GOD OF DESTRUCTION!", Mabel screamed as the skyrocket shot off.
"You guys are nuts.", I chuckled, popping an icy-pop into my mouth.

Dipper chuckled beside me, looking over at me. "Welcome to the Pines family. This is standard fare around here."
He gestured at Mabel, who was now spinning in circles while firing off another skyrocket.
"I'm starting to see that.", I laughed.

As the fireworks went off, Sheriff Blubs and Deputy Durland approached the Mystery Shack.
"Hold on a minute. Do you have a permit for those?", Blubs asked, his tone stern.
"Uh...", Dipper hesitated.
Stan, ever the quick thinker, stepped in. "Uh, do you have a permit for being totally lame?", Stan retorted, and we all burst into laughter.

"Heyoooo!", Mabel cheered.
Blubs chuckled. "Well, I can't argue with that. Carry on."
I high-fived Stan while he smirked at me with approval. "Nice one, old man."
Stan chuckled. "I still got it." Stan laughed, but then turned serious. "But seriously though, we should probably clean this mess up."

There were many small fires around the Mystery Shack and on it. The rope holding up the flags snapped.
I nodded in agreement. "Safety first, guys."
Mabel pouted. "Buzzkill."
Dipper chuckled. "You're just sad you can't set off any more rockets."

Stan chuckled. "Sorry, kid, but we gotta be responsible... well, somewhat."
He bent over and extinguished a small fire with his foot.
"With water balloons?", Mabel suggested.
"I don't see why not.", Stan agreed.
