I walked up the palace steps in my gown ready to dine with the king. The maids take my coat and inform me that the king is in the dining room waiting. The big wooden doors open to reveal the king and next to him a young man early thirties in a nice suit the king and the unknown man stood when noticing my arrival.
"Your highness"
"Aliyah just on time" he said as he made his way over to me and kissed me on both checks "I would like to introduce Lord Aden Conrad he will be staying at the palace till the ball to help with security matters"
He was a very attractive man strong build high in confidence let's hope not to high in ego... The king put his hand in the lower part off my back to guide me over to meet Lord Conrad
He bent down to kiss my hand "A pleasure to meet you"
Yes he was attractive brown hair combed back but still messy looking. Muscular build quite intimidating but kind soft blue eyes. Whereas the king was a proud man nice suit black short hair a slim build and eyes that captivates and controls you.
We sat down for lunch the king at the head of the table with Lord Conrad and I either side of him.
"So Aliyah what do you do for a living that has provided you with the luxuries you possess for a human such as you're self no offence of course?" Aden asked with his eyes attached to mine
"I assist the king when making decisions for his people of my kind. I have trust and respect from them which also helps me to navigate and terminate any growing rebellions to which I come up with a compremise that will help both the people and assure the kings life"
"Well sounds like a promising job"
The rest of the dinner consisted of flirting from both Lord Conrad and I add the kind stayed silent lost in thought I guess.
"Well thank you for a wonderful meal as always Aliyah, Conrad I how you're capable of showing yourself around the grounds for future consideration" the king slowly kisses my hands and left the room. Lord Conrad bowed and also left the room as I sat there in thought for a while until a maid came.
"I'm sorry miss but I have to clean the table"
"Oh sorry I was in my own little world" I left the room and headed for the door coat in hand when I herd the kings voice booming from the top of the stairs. With a jump I turned round
"Aliyah can I see you in my office please"
