A young woman was sitting beside her older brother, waiting for someone to arrive

She somewhat wasn't happy as she found out that she was actually engaged to be married long before since she was a child with her parent's best friends Mr. Lim and his wife.

She was told she will be engaged to their son who is five years older than her.

"Oppa how much longer do we wait for them? It's almost half an hour" she  said, quite impatient.

She was only thinking of her son. Yes, she has a a son who was conceived four years ago from a one night stand with a random man at a club while she was out partying with her best friends on her 18th birthday.

Since the birth of her son, she worked very hard to provide for him, despite the child lacking of a father figure and often getting bullied as well as herself being berated outside because she is a single mother.

Her older brother just gave her a slight grin and patted her head

"Don't worry, they said they will arrive soon" he answered.

She continued pouting as she took another sip from the glass of water as she looked at the door.

She grabbed her phone from her purse and started to scroll through her social media feed.

Then the door opened and an older couple came in and her older brother stood up to greet them.

"Hello Mr. Lim, Mrs Lim. It's very nice to meet you again" her older brother, Park Seo  Woo" as he held out his hand

The older gentleman was smiling as he accepted the handshake

"Yes. It has been years, isn't it, Seo Woo" the older man said and looked over towards the young woman who was faking a smile as she stood slightly afar from them.

"And who might you be?" Mr. Lim ask, smiling and the young woman came forward to introduce herself

"My name is Hye Rin, sir" she said

Mr. Lim's wife then said " Oh my, you are so beautiful my dear"

The Hye Rin was smiling, slightly blushing by the sudden compliment.

As they were now seated, a young man suddenly burst inside the room,  looking disheveled and out of breath.

"Son, you're late" Mrs. Lim said

I'm sorry  I'm late" the young man said and then at that moment as he sat down he saw her. The girl he met four years ago.

She was looking at him with disgust clearly seen upon the expression

"Son, I would like to introduce you to your fiancee, Park Hye Rin" Mrs. Lim said and looked at Hye Rin who gave her a fake smile and continued " Hye Rin this is my son, Woo Jae"

" Nice to meet you again, Woo Jae" she said, trying not to hide her true feeling of disgust.

"Yes, likewise" he replied, now amused. Since that night, he never called her and since then he never knew the girl he met four years ago was going to be his future wife.

"Oh? You two have met before" Mrs. Lim ask

Hye Rin were balling her hand into a tight fist, trying not control her anger.

"Yes, briefly  four years ago" she answered

It took her brother a few seconds to realised what she meant and realisation were clearly seen from his face as he too began to glare at the younger man.

"Really? I hope he was behaving well" Mrs. Lim said.

As she was about to reply, the door burst open once again and a child around four years old came storming in  and calling out "Mama" and ran towards Hye Rin who was now confused.

The babysitter whom she personally hired came in after him

"Baby, what's wrong?" Hye Rin ask and the child started to babble incoherent words, while crying

"Mama asdffgggkkk"

She couldn't understand him and wiped his tears "Slowly tell me what happened"

"Sister Ji Eun hurt me" he was now reduced to sob, showing the cut on the palms of his hands and that broke her heart as she looked at the baby sitter

"Ji Eun, you don't have to come any more. Get your last payment from my secretary,  Mary" she said and the babysitter who was flustered began to tear up.

"It's a misunderstanding Ms. I swear it" the young girl said

" I understand. Then we will discuss this in the morning. You can go back on your own. I will bring Jun Jae home myself"

The young girl then nodded "Ok" and soon she left. Hye Rin looked at her child who have stopped crying and was now hugging her leg.

"Mama" he looked up at her and then she turned to face the rest of the guests in the room, almost forgetting of their presence

"Mama" he looked up at her and then she turned to face the rest of the guests in the room, almost forgetting of their presence.

"I am sorry you have to see that" she apologies" she put her child on a chair and began to put food on the plate

"It is alright. We understand as a parent we'd do anything to protect our children" Mr. Lim said

Her brother then smiled and said "We apologise for the misunderstanding"

"It's alright" Mrs. Lim said "What is your name, child" she ask the little boy who was eating and he jumped down from his chair and said "My name is Jun Jae" he bowed to show respect, just like he was taught.

The older couple were now smiling "And how old are you, Jun Jae?" Mr. Lim ask

"I'm four years old" the little boy said and he sat back down again and continued eating.

The couple was shocked and then looked at Hye Rin who glared at her fiancee,  Lim Woo Jae, the father of her four years old son.

"Four?" He exclaim loudly

"Yes, he is four" she replied and that made the parents confused.

He knew now that the child was his. As he knew his life has turned upside down from that day.
