Chapter Three

For the next few months both Woo Jae and Hye Rin would meet only for the official meetings like when they have the food tasting and dinner with the family.

She met with his grandparents and they were delightful as she brought Jun Jae along with her to introduce him to the rest of the family.

Hye Rin ignored the aunts that were being snarky and nosy regarding the father of her child not knowing the real truth.

She couldn't take it but have to endure it for a little while. By then, the child who were greatly entertaining the grandparents was now smiling as he received money, and even sweets.

From afar, Woo Jae was watching her trying to control her anger. He knew she will blow up anytime but admire her holding in her anger.

"Interesting" he said as he took a sip from his glass.

Then he heard a scream and Hye Rin's worst nightmare came true.

She saw her four years old son being pushed to the ground by Woo Jae's cousin and was screaming at him. The child was now sobbing

She ran towards Jun Jae and picked him up, dusting him off

"I'm sorry Miss" Hye Rin apologise, bowing down

"This is your child?" The young lady scoffed "Tsk, wonder how you manage to trap my cousin into marrying a whore like you" she glared at Jun Jae and continued "Who knows who the father be"

At that moment, Woo Jae came forward and said "And what if I say that he is my son"

Everyone in the room gasped but he saw his cousin, Dam Bi scoffed

"Don't defend them, Oppa. I'm sure she is just a slut who got herself impregnated by some lowlife"

At that moment, the grandmother came over and slapped the cousin, hard"

"How dare you! Didn't your parents teach you any manners" the old woman the glared at a lady who was standing not far from them and said "I hope this wasn't the result of you two spoiling her too much. Someone need to put you in your place"

The cousin feeling betrayed then said "Grandma why are you defending those lowlives?!" Dam Bi said

"Gun, I am very disappointed in you" the grandmother said

Lim Gun, Dam Bi's father looked conflicted and apologised

"I am sorry mother" he said

Hye Rin doesn't know what to do but just hug her child firmly, as he continued sobbing in her arms. She picked him up and said "Excuse me" and left the room and headed towards the exit where Woo Jae was running out as she soon got herself inside a taxi and was leaving.

Woo Jae knew he have to clear it up soon with Hye Rin. He too felt hurt when he witness his son being insulted. Somehow he too felt hurt a little bit when Hye Rin was accused.

"I need to do something" he mumbled as he watch as the taxi leave.

He went back in and saw the defeated look upon everyone's faces and knew something must have happened whem he ran out ealier.

He stood beside his father who said "You better apologise to her properly, before its too late"

Woo Jae knew to clarify that Jun Jae is actually his biological son, he needs to do a DNA test.

Thus the whole night as he stayed awake thinking of a plan, he came up with nothing.

It would be illegal to do so without the consent of the other parent.
