Nara often visits them in their new home, an apartment building where she bought it and knew it will be convenient for everyone.
Hye Rin sent the children to and from school on a rented van except for Jun Jae who decided to use the public transport since gets a student discount.
Babysitting Da Hae is someone Nara trust, the nanny who took care of her children when they were smaller
Life was simple for them but then fate has other plans, especially for Hye Rin who just opened her own restaurant
She didn't want to opened a huge company, and just stay low profile.
She still invest in some stocks and so far going well.
She forgot about her previous life and often when she remembered them she began to cry, especially when she sees her baby girl, Da Hae. The daughter he will never know existed.
Often her brother, Seo Woo comes with Hyo Rin and their two kids, Jin Woo and Ye Seul.
She heard from her brother, Hyun Woo became a colder person.
He didn't date anyone and avoid any interactions with anyone.
She felt sad to hear the person who she loved becoming this way. She has forgiven him a long ago. She knew it's too late to go back to how they were before.
Hye Rin often laid in bed with a sleeping Da Hae and caress her cheeks softly "Baby, I wonder if your Appa's heart will be warmer once he knows you are here?"
The baby woke up and looked at her with her beady eyes and grabbed onto her hair and it made Hye Rin laughed "Yeah....I know" she picked the baby up and placed her in her playpen and went to make something to eat. The children aren't home yet.
Hye Rin came back earlier than usual as she felt tired and as she went to pick up Da Hae earlier from the babysitter and have just laid in bed before getting up to make something.
She got the ingredients out and began to cook for herself and for the children.
When the door opened she saw them running in.
"Mama we're home" Min Jae said
"I miss you Mama" Hye Jin said hugging her.
Jun Jae came in and shaking his head "Min Jae, Hye Jin arrange your shoes"
They came back to the door and placed their shoes in the rack and went back to the kitchen. Their bags were now neatly placed at the side of the door.
Jun Jae smiled as he joined them. They have been helpful enough and Hye Rin had never been more grateful .
They had their meals together, and little Da Hae joined them.
The little family felt incomplete somehow but they have to continue living.
Until one day she met him, coming in an office building.
Hye Rin was sending some food for a customer who ordered from her restaurant.
She sent the food herself and was about to to leave and didn't see where she was going as she was on the phone with a supplier when she bumped into him.
"I'm sorry" she apologies and looked up to see him. He didn't smile but his eyes widened and it turned cold.
He walked passed her and she felt sad all of a sudden.
"Hyun Woo..." she mumbled his name but he was already far away.
Defeated, she left and headed back to her restaurant. She knew he will never look at her ever again. Just as she expected because she have hurt him.
She sat in her office until one of the waitress came in and said "Ms. Hye Rin, someone is requesting to meet the owner of the restaurant"
"Bring him to my office please" she said and the waitress nodded and left. A few minutes later she head a knock and she said "Come in"
The door opened and a man whom she knows too well came in, face stoic and cold as she said "Please have a seat"
He sat down and continued staring at her coldly and she ask "How may I help you with today sir?'
He then looked around the office and said "I am interested to buy this restaurant"
She stared at him and said "No" she said sternly "I had a mortgage to pay and this is my only income, so no" she then glared at him "Leave sir before I call I let a few of my staff escort you out"
He continued staring at her as he got up and said "You will regret declining my offer Ms. Hye Rin" and he left soon after.
Hye Rin let out a sigh as her eyes became sad. She held herself back from crying, frustrated.
"I'm sorry Hyun Woo" she whispered silently.
She went back home after getting the baby from the babysitter and act like it didn't effect her as she made dinner for the children and as she laid in bed that night after putting the baby down she thought of him.
Her heart were aching as she cried until she fell asleep and that night she dreamt of the great memories she and him as well the children had together.
Then she saw a dream she hoped wouldn't come true.
Dream:
She saw his retreating back and he was holding a little girl in his arms. She was bawling her eyes out, calling her
"Mama!!! Mama!!"
She woke up with a start and went to check on Da Hae who peacefully fast asleep. She kissed the child's cheek and went back to her room.
Laying down facing the ceiling, she thought of the dream.
"Does he know?" And now she is worried "Is he going to take Da Hae from me?" She shook her head and hoped it won't happen.
She went back to sleep and pray what she dread will not happen.
