Chapter Fifteen

One week later, Hye Rin received a letter and saw it was from a law firm and informing her of the third person who wants child custody.

She saw the name of the person and her eyes widened "Do Hyun Woo" she balled her fist tight 

Then she saw the day of the trial and it was in a week. She let out a sigh and called her brother who was now surprised

"What?" Was his reaction "do you need a lawyer? I know some who are really good ones"

"That would help. But it's actually stupid really" she said and her brother couldn't agree more "He could just ask"

"Well...there must a reason he is doing this"

"I hope it end up less complicated" she grumbled as she read the sentence that made her widen "What the fuck!" She said out loud but then remembered the children

"What? What happened?" Seo Woo ask, now worried

"He ask for compensation and child support" she now angrier  "That fucking bastard"

She groaned loudly and said "Get a lawyer for me Oppa, please" she now felt defeated 

"I will come for a visit" he announced

"Let me know what time you are arriving" she reminded him.

The two siblings ended the call and Hye Rin couldn't help but felt exhausted.

She went to sleep and had another dream. That truly became nightmare

Dream :

Her building and restaurant burnt down and she saw her children being taken away by some people and a man was walking with the little girl, Da Hae who were crying calling out to her 

She woke up, startled and began to cry, scared of the outcome.

The week passes by and Seo Woo arrived and settled in her apartment. She's been having the same nightmare and it got worst that even her brother was seen lying facedown in the river. Her sister in-law were brutally murders and children were strangled to death. She didn't know why she kept getting horrific dreams like this and its making her more scared.

But what made her more sad was when she dreamt her children being taken away from her.

She didn't sleep well and seem shaken and it scared Seo Woo.

"Hye Rin, have you been sleeping well lately? He ask and she looked at him with eyebags clearly seen as she shook her head  "I have been getting nightmares that everything got taken away from me"

She went full on panic as she was comforted by her brother who became worried. Even Jun Jae could see it as well.

They were all worried for her and knew this was the moment she will break.

Hyun Woo found out about Hye Rin and felt that she was being dramatic until he met her at the courthouse and then he knew something terrible must've happened and Seo Woo who were reluctant to tell him his sister didn't get enough sleep and kept on repeating "they will take them away from me"

He now worried for Hye Rin's mental health and now regretting doing this but it's too late as when the trial begun everything were in favor to him and he will be one have child custody of his daughter. 

He watched when the judge declared it Hye Rin went on a mental breakdown and passed out.

Turns out she received a death threats  from an anonymous person who threatened to kill her and everyone around her thus began her nightmare. And the stress from the child custody case made it worst.

He watched as Hye Rin was brought out by her older brother as the children who now were crying were brought by a woman in a suit and he ran to them and said "They are coming with me"

The woman then said "You are not their biological parent thus they will be sent back to South Korea"

Hyun Woo knew he made the biggest mistake and now truly regret it.

He received a call that someone burned down Hye Rin's restaurant as he rushed out of the court room and saw the scene. He saw Hye Rin in front of her restaurant and now broke now 

He called someone and said "Find out who gave the death threats and started the fire of the building, immediately"

He then saw Hye Rin  collapsed on the ground. The ambulance was called and she was soon brought to the hospital. Seo Woo were by her side

Hyun Woo received the text and saw the name that made him boiled in anger "Kang Na Eun"

Yes. The mistress who took her husband and now the cause of her mental illness and made her lose everything.

He went to visit Hye Rin in the hospital and said "I promise I will give you everything back to you" and went to call some people and they managed to capture the person  who caused it.

Kang Na Eun.

She act innocent until Hyun Woo put a knife to her throat

"Why should she be happy when she ruined everyone's lives"

In anger he then said "You had no idea the life she had to go through after the divorce"

The woman just laigh menacingly  "Good, she deserve it"

The police came out of nowhere and said "Sir" the man saluted him and Kang Na Eun was surprised "Who are you?"

He stared at the vicious woman and said "Director General of Police, Seoul.

"Send her back to Korea in the morning and tell them she is put trial"

"Yes, sir" and soon grabbed the vicious woman out. He knew he must make everything right.

He went back to his hotel and see Da Hae with Nara who volunteered to take care of the child

"Thank you for taking care of Da Hae, Nara" Hyun Woo said and Nara just smiled and said "No problem. I'd do anything for Hye Rin. I wish...." she paused "nothing more happen to her. She has gone through a lot" she looked up at him and said "ever since her parents died"

He felt guilty regarding that and nothing could be done as the people she love them most kept getting taken away from her.

"Goodbye Hyun Woo" she said and left the hotel room, leaving him and a seven months old baby girl who was now sucking on her thumb 

He knew he must do something before he leaves  the country.
 
He visited her with their child and as he put Da Hae on the bed, the little girl began to crawl and called out "ma ma"

Hyun Woo saw Hye Rin woke up and saw Da Hae and then saw him. And turned away. "LEAVE"

"Hye Rin" he called her "Leave!" She threw the pillow to him and he picked up Da Hae who were now began to cry 

"Ma ma" the little baby now bawling her eyes out "ma ma"

Hye Rin still didn't turn around as Hyun Woo said "I'm sorry for everything,  Hye Rin" and soon he left. 

Once he closed the door she was screaming and crying. He held onto Da Hae who began to sob and looking at him.

"I'm sorry baby. We will visit your mama again some other day ok?" He said

He held back the tears and walked to the parking lot, legs feelings heavy as his heart remained in the room.

"I will do something, it's the least I could do after what you've been through" he thought as he drove away.
