We were on the plane to Kyoto for a surprise attack. Our objective was to jump off the plane, land near the villain's base, scout the area, and then launch a full-scale attack. Inside the base were numerous women and children who needed rescuing. If everything went smoothly, we'd be finished in one go, but I knew better than to expect a clean mission.
I had my suit on, and we were all sitting on the chairs, two rows across from each other, facing each other. Everyone was silent, focused, and ready for the call to jump.
As we waited, my thoughts drifted to Marinette. I hoped she was okay. I really wanted to help her and show her a world she'd never seen before. She'd hugged me so tightly last night before we left. I had to push her away gently because her parents were glaring at her, and I didn't want her to get into more trouble once we left. It must be so hard for her to watch us leave and for her to stay in that hellhole.
"Let's go," Aizawa ordered, standing up and opening the side door of the plane. The roar of the wind filled the cabin.
We were a few miles away from the base, and we had to get there on our own. Each of us had backpacks equipped with hoverboards, a new invention by U.A.
"Remember the plan," Aizawa said, his voice steady through our earpieces. "We land quietly, scout the area, and wait for the signal to attack. No mistakes."
In a single file line like we were taught, we each jumped off the plane, the rush of air hitting us instantly. I kept my eyes focused, scanning for any signs of danger. We had to make sure they didn't notice us yet.
As we got closer to the ground, we grabbed the boards connected to our bags. I dropped mine, and it started floating. I stepped onto it, guiding myself down smoothly.
"Pretty cool, right?" I muttered to myself, a small smirk on my face.
Once we all landed, we instantly hid behind some pillars and rocks, blending into the shadows.
"Stay hidden and keep watch for a while," Aizawa instructed through our earpieces. "We need to gather intel before making a move."
The area around the base was eerily quiet. We could see guards patrolling, their movements methodical and alert.
"Eijiro, Bakugou, take the north side. Midoriya, Asui, the west. Keep communication open," Aizawa directed.
"Got it," I replied, nodding to Kirishima as we moved silently toward the north side of the base.
"Stay low," Kirishima whispered, his eyes scanning the surroundings. "We need to find a way in without alerting anyone."
We crept along the perimeter, staying in the shadows. My mind was sharp, every sense heightened. This was it. Time to prove ourselves.
"There's an entrance," I whispered, pointing to a small door guarded by two villains. "We take them out quietly."
Kirishima nodded, his hardening quirk ready. We moved swiftly, taking down the guards without a sound.
"Good work," Aizawa's voice came through the earpiece. "Proceed with caution."
We slipped inside, the interior dimly lit and silent. The tension was palpable. We needed to find the hostages and secure the area.
As we moved deeper, I couldn't shake the thought of Marinette. I had to get back and make sure she was safe. This mission needed to be flawless.
"Bakugou, Kirishima, hold the position. Midoriya and Asui are on their way," Aizawa instructed.
