Arius POV
'Cool, way to ruin my nice day. What's the hag doing here?'
"Arius, I came here to talk to you." The duke said. Well, that answers my question. "Ok." I said, With the tone I've using on them since I woke up.
His eyes darkened and his eyebrows twitched. Something a normal person wouldn't notice. 'Too bad I'm not a normal person. I've spent years trying to get a read on him. The only thing he's been useful for, being my beta test in face reading.'
"It's about your twin sister." Now THAT perked my interest. They won't be finding her for at least another year and a half, so what business does he have talking to me about it? Well, at least it's a pleasant subject.
"What do you want to talk to me about her, your grace?""We think we have a good lead on her, so I want to tell you that I'll be giving the task of helping her adjust, to you.."
.
.
.
'Is this bastard really that lazy that he's giving the job of parenting his child, to his other child? Anyway, it's the best for both her and my plans, but there's still something I'm curious about.'"Ok, I'd like to do it. Still, you could've just ordered someone else to tell me about it. What makes you waste your precious time on something so trivial, your grace?" Right, I'm curious about why you'd come to me yourself for something so trivial, when you were unwilling to visit while I was in a coma. 'I swear if he's already regretting his treatment of me, I'm going full on Amy Dune on his sorry ass.'
"Can't I come to see my son without a reason?"
'No you can't, thank you very much.' "Lucien isn't here, your grace."
.
.
.
'Damn, that was a good comeback. Go me!... Is Sebastian grinning behind the duke? I knew he was a real one!' The duke seemed flabbergasted at my response. Of course, if it was me, just two months ago, I would have cried tears of joy. But now is not two months ago. The Duke started to frown more, and a gloomy aura surrounded him, 'Aww, is the big, 495 (or smt) months old baby gonna cry because the child he neglected from birth on denies him as his father? Poor little thing, want me to kiss you better? Shame, big sis just washed my attire, I don't want to dirty it right away.' (A/n: quick reminder; he's lying/sitting under a tree)"I see...", his expression made me want to laugh, but I held it in for the sake of my life. I really pushed his buttons this time, but with just this, he can't do anything to me, lest he's ready to deny everything he's done to me, or has thought about me, which he clearly isn't.
'Oh father, why are you so easy to annoy? This is no fun.'
"If there's nothing else, I would like to enjoy my free time in peace. Good luck with finding Lucien, your grace." I closed my eyes.
"Hn."
.
.
.
'What's he still doing here? Leave me alone already!' I opened up my eyes, and there he was, staring at me with the biggest frown I've ever seen in my life(s). 'Geez, what a waste of good looks.' I started at him blankly. 'I'm glad I look like mom.'"You're different."
.
.
.
'Is this hag being for real right now? Even Sebastian looks flabbergasted.'
"It's nothing, I just realized that I was wasting both your grace's and my dear siblings' precious time. Come to think of it, I heard there's gonna be a banquet soon? Your grace must be VERY busy. Please don't waste your time talking to me." I said with a cold smile. There's no way I'd let him have the pleasure of witnessing my gorgeous warm smile.
