Arius POV

TODAY IS THE DAY! AAAAAAAAAAH- I'M FREAKING OUT! I finally get to see her!
Anyways, where were we? Right, today is my 9nth birthday and after nine long years, I will finally get to meet my twin. I actually woke up an hour ago, but I still have 30 minutes before big sis and the others come to wake me up and I just heard a carriage leaving the mansion, along with some horses.

I've been thinking about how to greet her and make her feel welcome in the house for the past hour. Sadly, the other three's skulls are thicker than I expected, so there's no way I trust them to not mess things up. I won't let them treat her the way they did in the book. I survived, so I will make it worth it.

I pulled out my notebook from under my pillow, looking at my drawing of Arielle, wondering what she looks like. 'Stupid question, she must look like me, seeing as how many times it was mentioned in the book, by both the servants and those three oafs.' I smiled at the drawing, closed the book and put it back under my pillow.

A few minutes later, big sis opened the door along with Lilith, Elizabeth, Yona and Emily, and got startled at finding me awake.
"Good morning, young master. You're awake early today." Big sis stated, having her eyebrows raised.
"Are you excited to turn nine?"

"Good morning and yes, kinda. But I woke up due to the commotion outside. What is going on?" They all stayed silent, but started grinning brightly. 'So bright.'

"There's nothing to worry about, young master. Now, let's get you ready for the day." They obviously knew what was going on, but chose to surprise me instead. I found it endearing, so I played along. "If you say so... say, could you guys please dress me up in a bit fancier outfit today? I have a feeling something is going to happen."

"With pleasure, young master!" With this, they took me to take a bath. While they bathed me, I noticed stars in their eyes and their shaking hands. Today, they were, for some reason, even more eager to prepare me than usual, a really high bar to cross. After my bath, they dressed me up in the fanciest outfit I've worn to date and braided my hair over my shoulder with a navy ribbon.

(With shorts instead of pants.)

This was my first time wearing a braid in this life and to be honest, I've missed the feeling of a braid. Looking into the mirror, I concluded that this was the best I've ever looked. 'This world's fashion sense is so much better than on earth.'
Behind me, the maids were all giggling with flowers floating around them. Wait...

"ELIZABETH!!" I rushed over to her, snapping the others out. She was having a massive nosebleed, so much so that I was worried that she might pass out. "Oh my god, Lizzy! Here press this handkerchief on your nose! Yona, plea help me carry her to the infirmary. Ophelia, Emily, I trust you to escort young master." Lilith grabbed the half conscious sister Lizzy from behind, under her armpits, while Yona rushed to grab her by the ankles and off they went, carrying sister Lizzy like a stretcher. '... that was comical...'

Big sis cleared her throat, sweat dropping. "Well, young master, let's get you to breakfast."
The three of us went to the dining hall. On the way there, I greeted the servants with a smile, earning myself happy birthdays and flowery auras , very much like the five in my room. 'But no one else seems to have a nosebleed yet, just Elizabeth. It's cute, really.' Not that I'm being narcissistic here, really, but I can see why I was getting such reactions. Hell, had I been in my old body, or an outsider, I doubt I would be able to control my baby fever.

Back to the topic, I arrived at the door of the dining hall and went in, separating from Emily and Ophelia, greeting the butler at the door. Once inside, I was greeted by only Lucia, already eating without waiting for me. 'Lucien must've gone with the hag.'

Noticing me, she simply threw me a quick glance, refusing to acknowledge me further. 'Fuck you too, bitch.' In response, I just went over to my seat, ignoring her existence. She seemed pissed, but she must have learned from two years ago, because she kept her mouth shut. 'Impressive... for her.'

Oh, it's also probably worth mentioning. The Ambrose family took significant damage to their reputation (except for Arielle and me, ofc.) there's been rumours about them hurting their youngest son-not entirely a lie. Although they are still faint, their social standing is now much worse than in the book and it will continue to worsen. 'It's honestly funny that I almost had to do nothing.' After Lucia slapped me two years ago and only received a light punishment,-not to mention it was mostly because of the family's reputation- she's become bolder, slapping me occasionally when no one's around. 'Jokes on her, I never am completely alone with her. I always make sure that there are servants nearby, just out of sight.' Through this, her reputation slowly worsens without her exactly knowing why, she gets more and more frustrated and takes it out on either me, through more slapping, or on Lucien, by constantly whining to him or being more aggressive towards him, which although not by much, strains their relationship, worsening both their mental health.

As for, Lucien, he's doing slightly better than Lucia and even if it slightly disturbs him, he never really stops her from raising her hand at me, enabling her. This, of course, doesn't escape the servants, starting (true) rumours about him neglecting his little brother, also jeopardising his own reputation. Last but not least, the duke.

Nothing much has changed with him, except for the fact that he sometimes looks at me regretfully now, as if he's regretting the treatment I'm getting, 'But it doesn't matter, because he doesn't do anything against Lucia hitting me. His feelings are worthless if he doesn't do anything about it. It's not like I would've forgiven him anyway.'

I also have decided on their fates. It's not much different from my goal when I first got back my memories. For Lucia, my lovely sister, I plan on making her the evil lady of society. Make sure her reputation is similar to that of Penelope Eckart's. 'The only difference is that things will only go downhill for her, because she, unlike Penelope, actually will be what the rumours paint her out to be.'

For Lucien, I myself will strive for the position of the duke, at least seemingly. No, I don't and never will intend to be the hag's heir. But he won't know that. I will create rumours of me being the actual heir to the duchy, simultaneously worsening Lucien's own reputation through other rumours, getting the folk's hopes up, only to reveal that I am, in fact, not the future duke, disappointing them with the revelation, impacting Lucien's ego in the process. Then I'll go and cut ties with Ambrose along with Arielle and live a good life without any of them, because the best kind of revenge for their likes is showing them how much better you can thrive without them weighing you down.

And as for the duke, the rumours about his favourites are going to impact him too, because people will question his decisions while raising us and on who the heir should be. Besides that, once Arielle and I leave the Ambrose to get adopted by the Thanasis family, it will be another blow for him. Not to mention, none of them will be invited to my wedding and I'll either have my uncle or my grandpa assume the role of my father. 'Or maybe, I can invite them, but not as family, but as high ranking people from the ally kingdom. This way, they'll also see what we could have been, had they not been so utterly pathetic.' Of course, I'm only talking for myself, because who she wishes to invite to her wedding is, frankly, Arielle's business.

I wordlessly finished breakfast, leaving Lucia alone after thanking the staff. On the outside of the door, there were big sis, Emily, Lilith, Yona and a recovered Elizabeth. "Young master, would you allow us to escort you to the front gate? There's someone we must receive in a few minutes."

"Sure, let's go." I almost skipped on my steps, quickly walking towards the front gate and then breaking out into a run, without waiting for them.
'Finally! I'll finally, get to meet her!' I rushed out the door, barely having time to catch my breath, when I was nearly tackled to the ground by a small body crushing into mine, silver filling my sight and thin, short arms wrapping themselves around me, as if I'm their lifeline.

'!'
