Chapter 20
July 26, 2015
_____Mothers Day had come and gone, as well, had her sisters graduation into middle school.
Ella had finished her Junior year in high school, and Zayn was preparing for his college graduation.
He and Ella were just as in love as ever. And just about everybody knew it.
None of the boys at the high school would mess with neither Ella, or Rebecca, because they were all somewhat scared of Mr. Malik.
And none of the girls would even consider flirting with Mr. Malik, for it would never last. He would shut them down by talking about how he was spoken for.
It was Zayn's graduation day, and whilst he sat, anxiously awaiting what was to come, his only thought was Ella.
He wondered what she would be wearing. He wondered if she would wear makeup today, or not.
And he couldn't help but wonder whether she would kiss him in front of all of these people.
The graduation ceremony was being held in Anaheim, California.
Being that the college itself was just a 20 minute drive from Anaheim.
It was the 30th day of May.
Exactly 5 months since Zayn had first seen Ella.
He had a special evening planned for the two, taking her to dinner and the movies.
Then a nice, long walk on the beach.
Ella often had spoken of how much she loved the beach.
The refreshing water, the warm sand, and the heavenly sounds of the waves, and the birds.
Ella was impeccably excited for Zayn.
She had told him multiple times how proud she was to have a teacher for a boyfriend, and he would laugh each time.
Even though she was being dead serious.
Ella had asked her mom and her sister to come with her, hoping that her mom and Zayn could meet, finally.
Rebecca already was talking about wedding plans, knowing full well that there would be a wedding within the next couple of years.
But Jennifer, Ella's mom, had yet to meet Zayn. But from all of the things that she had heard of him, she figured that she would love him.
And seeing how happy that Zayn had made Ella could only bring her joy and happiness.
After the girls' father had died, Jennifer had fallen into a sort of depression.
And that was when Jennifer saw Ella's true colors.
Ella stepped in for her mother, and practically raised Rebecca until Jennifer came to, and stepped back in.
Jennifer always felt a guilt for having missed part of her girls growing up, and had thanked and apologized multiple times.
But Ella wouldn't hear any of it.
"It's just as much my responsibility as it is yours" she would always say.
"Mom, do I look alright?" Ella asked, stepping out of the bathroom in a baby blue, high-low dress, and some white sandals.
Jennifer smiled, "Darling, you look beautiful. Zayn is a very lucky man, and I pray that he knows that."
Ella hugged her mother, "Thank you, mom."
"Rebecca, are you ready? We've got to go." Jennifer called after her youngest daughter.
Rebecca walked down the hall, wearing a maroon dress, and some tan flats.
"Is it too much?" Rebecca asked, looking at Ella for reassurance.
"Baby girl, there is nobody that could be prettier than you." Ella told her.
"That's a lie."
"Excuse me?"
Jennifer hurried the girls out of the door, and to the car.
"You're always going to be the prettiest girl, to me." Rebecca smiled, taking a seat in the car.
