"How is my Birthday Girl doing today?" Zayn asked, pulling Ella into a hug.

She laughed, "I'm so much better now"

"Now that's what I like to hear. Hurry and get dressed in something casual. I have big plans for us."

Ella did as asked, pulling on a pair of jeans, and a sweater.

"Which ones?" she asked him, holding up two pairs of shoes. One pair being tan ballet flats, and the other, a pair of white ballet flats.

Zayn cringed, "Neither. Baby, do you have something more, I don't know, western-y?"

She raised an eyebrow. "Like, cowgirl boots?"

His face lit up, & he nodded.

"Yes. I do have a pair of those. But why would I need boots?" she asked, sitting down to slip her boots on.

"Because you look cute in your boots. Plus, your top just matches a western theme. I don't know."

Ella gave Zayn an odd look, knowing full well that he was up to something. "Are we going horseback riding, or wrestling steers, or something? Because I'll tell you right now that I've never done the latter. And yes, I've ridden before, but believe me when I say, I wouldn't be great at either." she crossed her arms over her chest.

"We're going to do something, & you'll have to wait and see." Zayn said, taking her hand, & pulling her out of the house.

An hours drive later, Ella found herself looking at a beautiful charcoal black horse, with a white diamond shaped patch of fur on his nose.

"Zayn, it's fucking huge." she said, glaring at the colt.

Zayn snickered, "That's what she said"

Ella turned to him & rolled her eyes. "I'm being serious. I've ridden a horse before, but never in my life have I ever seen one so...massive. He's a freaking Clydesdale.

Zayn took her hand, and placed it on the horses neck. "He's friendly, and he would never hurt you. I'm riding too, so have no fear. Your hubby is here."

"No way" Ella said, as she began to laugh.

"What? You don't think I would?"

She shook her head. "No. Because you just don't seem like the type. I don't know."

"Aw, what is my type then?" he asked, grabbing a lead rope from the stall, and hooking it onto the horses halter.

"Not the cowboy type. That's all I'm saying."

Ella watched as he saddled the horse, then, proceeded to place one foot in the stirrup, and throw his other leg over to the other side of the horse.

He sat in the saddle with beautiful posture, taking the reigns, and turning the horse, nudging him to walk towards Ella.

She could only watch him in absolute astonishment, as he halted the horse in front of her.

"Care to join me?" he asked, holding his hand out for her to grasp.

She laughed, taking his hand, and pulling herself up onto the colt, behind Zayn.

She wrapped her arms around him, and leaned her head on his shoulder, as he guided the horse around the gate, and into the open pasture.

"It's so peaceful out here" Ella said, smelling the clean air.

"It is peaceful, isn't it? You know, this is where I grew up." he whispered, nudging the horse again.

"Really?"

"Yeah. This was actually my horse, too" he laughed.

"What's his name?" she inquired, leaning back.

"I'll tell you, but you can't laugh."

"Why would I laugh, baby love?"

"Because it's kind of strange to be quite honest."

"Please tell me? I cross my heart, I won't laugh."

He chuckled, "Hafid"

"How is that silly? It's different, but it's not silly. Is there any special reason for his name, tho?"

"My grandfathers name was Hafid Javas, and my grandfather was like, my hero I guess you could say. He was always looking out for me, and I loved him deeply. But he died when I was 12. So, I named my horse Hafid because he is always here for me, & has never let me down." Zayn explained, stopping 'Hafid' at the edge of a drop off.

"Love, that's so cute. It's not silly, or stupid. That's adorable, and you should be very proud of yourself for being so sentimental." Ella said, hopping off of the horse.

"Will you walk with me?" she asked, holding out her hand.

"I would walk a million miles if you were by my side."
