I was sitting in a meeting, contemplating life.
Meetings are so boring and serve me no purpose. Although at the ripe age of 7, Dad always claimed that it was unprofessional of a leader to miss any sort of meeting. He taught me everything then. How to handle taxes, paying people, hiring people, tracking people, basically anything to do with the imbeciles known as humans.
My phone ringing snapped me out of my thoughts. I reached into my pocket and pulled out my phone to see an Unknown Caller ID. I rolled my eyes and put it back in my pocket. Probably just some spammers wanting money. I silently scoffed. It rang again. Yet again with an eye roll and now audible sigh, I pulled it out to see the same number. I picked it up.
"Hello." I said in a bored tone.
"Hello. Is this Archer Silva?" A woman, who sounded scared shitless, asked me.
"This is he." I replied, getting more bored. My subordinates looked at me with annoyance on their face.
"Hello Mr. Silva. Is there a documented phone number for your father, Anthony Silva? If so, I'd like to speak to him." She inquired in the same nervous tone.
"He's dead. Been in the grave for 14 years now. What do you want." I was growing more impatient by the second.
"Oh..well then I suppose I'll speak to you. Your youngest sister, Oaklynn Silva. We found her after her kidnapper, Jason Marino, died yesterday afternoon. I can forward you the address if you'd like? To adopt her that is." She spoke.
.
.
.
"Sir?"
.
.
"Sir, are you there?"
.
.
"SIR!" Her yell snapped me out of it. Oaklynn..was found? "Would you like me to forward the address and paperwork?" She asked, her voice laced with annoyance. "Yes, yes I'll come soon. I'll be there very early tomorrow morning." I hung up the phone and stood up."Meeting is dismissed." I waved my hand as I walked out, my coworkers had mixed expressions some of them relief, others of annoyance or disdain.
I rushed to my office back at home, telling my brothers to get their asses out of bed and meet me in there. I told Jasper and Malakai what was happening in specific.
