Jasper and I walked into the garage and to his car. As per usual, the guards got into their own car.
"You ready for this?" Jasper looked over to me as I buckled my seatbelt.
"Honestly? I don't think I'll ever be, so I mine as well get this over with." I sighed.
"If it gets to be too much, we can leave. Just say the word." He said, beginning to pull out of the garage.
"Thank you." I said, returning to being silent. The drive was about 15 minutes, so I just stared outside of the window watching the trees pass.
I looked over at my brother. "Jasper?"
"Hm?"
"Please don't tell any of our brothers about what happened this morning."
"I never planned on it, love. Your story is not mine to tell. It's not my place to relay any information about you to anyone."
He continued, "The only case where I would have to say something is if what I know or see poses a threat to you or someone else we care about."
I smiled at him. "That's fair, thank you." I returned to looking out the window.
Before I knew it, we were pulling into a large building with stone walls. Jasper parked the car and got out, and I followed behind him. We entered the building, going up to the receptionist. The guards must have stayed in their car, as I didn't see them.
"Hello, appointment for Oaklynn Silva." Jasper said, kindly.
The receptionist was an older woman, with a warm smile.
"Hi! Yup! She'll be seeing Dr. Leone. Her appointment starts at 3:30, so you can sit in the waiting area. It should only be a few minutes. In the meantime, Oaklynn, can I get your height, weight, and blood pressure?"
I nodded my head and followed her into a room, where she told me to hop onto a scale with my back to the wall. While the scale beeped, she hit the top of my head with a paddle thingy. I assumed it marked my height. Next, she told me to sit down and wrapped a weird noodle thing around my arm which squeezed it. When she was finished with everything, I went back into the waiting room with Jasper.
"How was it?"
I shrugged my shoulders, "Fine I guess."
After a few minutes, the door opened and a taller lady with blonde hair came out.
"Oaklynn?"
Jasper stood up, and let me go in front of him to walk towards the lady. She led us to a room that was filled with different decorations.
"Hello Oaklynn!" She gave me a smile which I returned. "And you are her father?" She asked, diverting her eyes towards Jasper.
