As I finished showering, I wrapped one of the comfiest towels ever around myself. I walked out to see Malakai by some clothes on my bed setting down a water and then looked up at me. For a split second, that felt like eternity, we both just looked at each other. I snapped out of it and ran back into my bathroom slamming the door, my breathing heavy.
This can't be happening again. It can't possibly be the same here as it was there? Unless that's normal...
Tears welled up in my eyes as I paced the bathroom, holding the towel on my body like my life depended on it.
"Sorry! Sorry! I'm so so so sorry!" I heard Malakai shout and shut my door on his way out of my room.
I released a sign of relief, and peeked my head outside of my bathroom and checked to see if the coast was clear. Since it was, I went out and chose a hoodie and shorts to put on.
I went back into my bathroom to put on some concealer before heading downstairs for dinner. I looked around seeing everyone seated. I took the only other open seat next to Adrian and Grayson. Archer sat at the head of the table, still in his suit.
A few minutes later, Jasper brought in the food with an apron on.
So I guess he cooks. I thought. He gave each of the boys a huge plate of food. I was shocked when he gave me a plate of the same size.
"This is for me?" I asked, and all of my brothers' heads snapped towards me.
"Yes, silly." Jasper replied with slightly upturned lips.
Once he finished handing out the plates, he sat down at his seat that was right next to Archer. As everyone began eating I picked up my fork and began to pick around my food, not eating any of it.
"Are you not hungry?" Adrian asked with a mouthful of food. I shook my head.
Archer looked at Adrian with a look of disgust."Adrian swallow your food and Oaklynn can you at least try to eat 5 bites? You haven't eaten anything, and Officer Ferrah said that you didn't eat anything when you were with her, either."
"I guess." I took 5 bites, although they were pretty minuscule. Archer just sighed at me.
"Oaklynn can you come to my office after dinner? Jasper, come as well. Jasper, thank you for the food." Adrian nodded towards Jasper who gave him a thumbs up as he continued to eat.
"You gonna eat anymore?"
I looked over at Adrian and shook my head.
"Score!" He grinned, taking my plate and scarfing down my leftovers.
"Adrian that's not-"
I cut off Malakai's scolding. "It's fine, I wasn't going to finish anyway."
"Thank you for dinner, Jasper." I said
