To say my brothers and I were shocked was an understatement. To hear her secret and how she's been feeling shattered my heart. I couldn't even imagine what she had went through.
"We should tell her about the mafia."
Archer looked up from his seat. "What the hell are you talking about."
"We should tell Oaklynn about the fucking mafia you're in charge of."
"Grayson, you don't know shit about what you're talking about."
"If you don't tell her I will." I said.
"I swear if you tel-"
"What? You're going to shove me against a wall just like you did to her?" I could tell that I went to far.
The silence was so loud that my ears felt like they'd explode.
"I'm done with this shit. Thanks for the food Adrian." I said without even taking a bite of it, and walked upstairs.
I opened Oaklynn's door, and she didn't say anything. I sat against a pillow on the opposite side of the bed.
I didn't speak a word.
Finally, I said something. "Hey, wanna go to a party? It's like an annual summer thing, everyone in the school is invited."
I'm not sure why I suggested it, but it sounded like a good idea.
"Um absolutely." I responded. I'm not sure I really wanted to, but alcohol sounded amazing.
"Alright, we'll have to sneak out, so be ready in 30?"
I nodded, going to pick out what I was going to wear. I settled on a black top and black jeans.
