I sat on the chair in my bedroom, listening to Adrian intensely.
"Basically we were on our way out of the mall, getting ready to come home. Sure enough, right outside of the tailor's shop was Levi LaRosa."
My blood boiled just by hearing that boy's name.
"Alone?"
Adrian nodded at my question.
"As far as I could tell, yes he was. It wouldn't have surprised me if his guards were somewhere in the parking lot or something." He shrugged his shoulders.
"Anyway, I sent Grayson and Oaklynn home along with the guards. I figured they would need more protection than me, and I didn't want them to get hurt, especially Oaklynn. I knew Levi was gonna stick around, so I waited by my car, hoping that I could just tell him off with a few words. Although I guess I didn't realize how much taller he had gotten."
Adrian was right, Levi was much taller than all of us Silvas. The only one to rival his height was Malakai, but even so Levi still had an inch or two on him.
Meaning that if a true fight were to occur, Levi LaRosa would pose to be a great threat.
As Adrian finished his story I asked, "So he knows about Oaklynn?"
Adrian nodded. "Yeah, he put the pieces together pretty quickly."
"Well shit." I knew it was a ticking time bomb until Oaklynn's return would be well-known throughout our line of business, but I was hoping it would be later, perhaps when she was in a more stable state; physically and mentally.
"I'll call for more guards, especially during the day." I voiced my course of action out loud.
Adrian looked at me with a quizzical expression. "Why during the day?"
"Me, Jasper, Malakai, and sometimes you aren't home. Especially me and Jasper."
"Mm, that makes sense."
"Thanks for talking to me and protecting our siblings. Good job, I'm proud of you. Go to bed, you should get some rest. Wake me up if you need anything." A small smiled graced Adrians lips as I spoke.
"Thank you," He walked out, and I followed behind him to shut my door. As I checked out in the hallway, I noticed that he had went into Malakai's room. Some sort of emotion hit me.
Am I jealous? No. I'm happy that Malakai and Adrian are so close. I shook my thoughts away and updated the guards before climbing into bed.
