I pointed at a shop. "Can we go in there?" I desperately needed new undergarments, and I wanted to look at swimsuits as well.
"Ummm. Sure." Adrian said. Grayson huffed.
"Stay out here if you're too embarrassed about a woman's necessities, then." I looked at Grayson with a pointed look.
"No! I'm fine I don't care."
"Aww Graysie is embarrassed because he's still a virgin." Adrian teased.
"I am not!" He replied, and Adrian looked at me.
I'm pretty sure he could tell that I had gone silent and was pretty uncomfortable, so he didn't reply to Grayson, ending their little match there.
"See, you know I'm right." Grayson continued on, oblivious of the tense atmosphere.
Adrian looked at him, slightly annoyed. "Shut up, dumbass." He looked back at me.
Then, Greyson looked at me. "Oh shit, sorry." He said sheepishly.
I sighed and began choosing a few things I wanted. I had and idea of what size I was, but I wasn't entirely sure. I picked a few extra sizes to try on just in case, and then I looked to see what my brothers were doing.
Grayson was on his phone, acting like he really wasn't in here, and-
Oh my god. I almost physically facepalmed.
There Adrian was, staring at every mannequin that was dressed in laced undergarments, or lingerie, as we walked past. I stopped walking and he smacked into me, too preoccupied with staring rather than looking where he was waking. I just looked at him and shook my head while he turned a shade of red, embarrassed.
I turned around and kept walking.
What can I really expect from an 18 year old toddler?
"I'm going to try a few of these things on." I told the boys.
Grayson looked up from his phone. "Do not give us a fashion show."
I rolled my eyes. "Clearly."
About 10 minutes later we checked out. Grayson made me hold the bag this time.
"I'm hungryyyy." Adrian whined.
"My god bro, people probably think we're the older ones." Grayson motioned towards me and himself.
"Growing boys have to eat." Adrian frowned.
"Well, Oaklynn is probably not hungry."
I could tell this was leading to an argument. "It's really okay, Grayson. Why don't you two go get something to eat, and I'll find us a table."
"Yay!" Adrian celebrated. In a more serious tone he added, "you two, stay with her," to the guards.
I walked around what I believed to be the food court and chose a 5-person table so the guards could sit, too. I sat all the bags down and waited for Grayson and Adrian to come back with their food.
When they returned, they sat down. To my satisfaction, Adrian told the guards that they could have a seat, as well. Adrian had brought back a slice of cheese pizza with a drink and mac-n-cheese. Grayson had a salad. mac-n-cheese, and two drinks.
He handed one to me. "Here, we got you a pink lemonade." He smiled.
"And if you want any of our food feel free to take some." Adrian added.
I smiled, thankful for the two boys in front of me. I began sipping on it, and it tasted delicious. I think this just might be my new favorite drink.
"This is delicious, thank you so much." I told them.
As they began to finish eating, I threw away all of our trash and picked up my clothing bags.
"Okay, so Archer wanted you to pick out a few nicer dresses just in case there's some fancy work gathering we have to attend." Adrian said, leading the way to what I now knew was going to be a dress shop.
As we entered the store, I looked around, appalled. There was any type of dress that a woman would ever need. Floral, sparkly, long, short, strapless, sleeved, you name it, it was in this shop. I began choosing a wide variety of dresses before trying them on.
After trying all of the dresses on, I decided on 7 of them. Adrian told me to get at least 6, so I wanted to be safe with 7. Yet again, we checked out and exited the store.
Adrian led the way once we left the shop. "Alright, I just need to pick up my suit from the tailor and we can leave, if that sounds good?"
"Yup! That sounds good." I told him, and Grayson nodded.
We entered the small store.
"Hello! How may I help you?" A kind saleswoman asked Adrian.
He responded bluntly. "I'm picking up my suit. Adrian Silva."
She nodded and grabbed his suit.
"It's already paid for, so I just need your signature." She said, handing him a pen and paper. Adrian signed quickly and we turned around.
"Have a good day!" The saleswoman told us.
I saw an unfamiliar man standing a little ways outside of the shop, staring at my brothers and I. Especially me.
