Under the Skin

Looking at a bunch of beautiful flowers and living plants, Lincoln and Loona were hanging out with Octavia in the Goetia palace. The garden was a place of wonderful things (as long as one doesn't get lost in its hedge labyrinth.) unfortunately, Clyde was not there because he had one of those appointments with Dr. Lopez, his and his fathers' therapists. But he would be joining Octavia again in a few hours. He said he would call her when he was ready to come down to Hell once more.

"My dad is going to plant a red barbed tree in the park nearby." Said Via.

"That's a very rare tree." said Loona. "But yeah, I got nothing better to do."

"he'll be very happy to be helped like this. And maybe later we can get a smoothie or some coffee or whatever."

"Coffee sounds good." Loona said.

"Oh and a frappucino for me." Lincoln said excitedly.

Loona let out a small chuckle. "OK, OK. A frappucino it is." Loona got a text on her phone, and made an annoyed groan on her face. "Blitzo wants to hang out with Stolas. Never thought he would actually want to hang out with him in the first place."

"Why does he want to hang out with Stolas?"

"Hmph, beats me. And frankly, I don't even want to know."

"I keep telling dad that he and Blitzo need to get a room." Octavia sounded annoyed. "But, dad is a little nervous about that."

"Why?" asked Lincoln

"My mum." said the princess in an embarrassed voice.

"But your parents already divorced." Lincoln pointed.

"Yeah, but... she is still angered by how my dad cheated on her with that imp. I mean, granted, they never loved each other, but still."

"Come on, your mom can't stop your dad from seeing Blitzo." Loona reassured her.

"Yeah, you're probably right."

The park looked nice (for being in Hell), lots of trees, a large pond with demonic-looking ducks, geese, and even swans wadding in it's red water. The water might look like blood, but it was only red because of the red sky above it. The pond was just clear water like on Earth. Blitzo, and Stolas were putting up the rare Blood Tree in the spot that the Goetia prince wanted. Tex, Moxxie, and Millie were there since they were friends with Lincoln, and they were always up for hanging out with their friends.

Looking at the large pond, Lincoln was looking at the wondrous beauty of this lake in the park. The waterfowl swimming in it, the cattails surrounding the shallow waters of this area, everything nice and serene about it, just as peaceful as the ones anyone can find on Earth

Recognizing some of them from Lucifer's castle, it made Lincoln think of the King's palace since he loved ducks and waterfowl so much. Suddenly, something scared him with a demonic hissing. It was a goose with four red eyes, black in color with some patches of gold on some of it's feathers. The mouth was different than Earth geese. It opened like one of those Venus flytrap plants, or similar to an Elder Thing from the Cthulhu Mythos stories. But when its bill closed, it looked like a normal goose (minus the four red eyes of course).

Lincoln was spooked by the grotesque thing he had witnessed, the goose just walked up to him and used it's ridiculously long tongue to get a closer look at the human boy to possibly inspect him and sense him like a lizard or a snake would do to sense something curiously. The tongue went all over his face, and his torso, and the goose put his tongue away, takikng some kind of liking to Lincoln.

"Well, looks like you made a friend." Loona teased. The demon goose let out another hiss and showed it's grotesque mouth at her with it's three-sided beak before waddling away into the water.

"Ah yes. The Elder Goose. Named after the Elder Thing from HP Lovecraft shit." said Blitzo. "Freaky but harmless... as long as you don't come near its eggs or piss it off."

"Interesting." Lincoln looked at the goose swimming away, and giving one last look at him, letting out a kind of purring sound from it.

"Blitzy! I still need your help with the tree." Stolas sang, making the imp annoyed.

standing against a nearby tree, little did Lincoln know that there was some kind of red and black insect crawling to him. It was like a combination of a ladybug and a stag beetle with pincers on it's face, razor-sharp pincers that were as sharp as the sharpest knives. It was close to Lincoln's let hand on the bark of the tree, and crawled on the back of his hand, making Lincoln notice this critter. It looked a little terrifying for him, but the insect tilted his head adorably.

"Hello, little guy." Lincoln said to it. The insect did nothing and, suddenly, the insect used it's razor-sharp pinchers to burrow himself under Lincoln's skin on the back of his hand, making the boy gasp and scream in horror, moving his left arm around as the beetle-like insect was burrowing its way up to his arm. The boy realized that the bug was going up to his brain to eat it. "Waaaaaah! ahh! Ah! Ah!" He began shouting and screaming at the top of his lungs

The other noticed of his screaming and looking at his arm as the red and black beetle was still burrowing under his skin. Everyone walked up to him. "What?" said Loona. "What's wrong? Speak!"

"It's up my arm!" Lincoln shouted.

Tex ripped the sleeve of his orange shirt to reveal that this beetle was already on his upper arm. "Oh shit!" Moxxie exclaimed. Everyone else looked surprised to see the beetle.

"Help me!" Lincoln screamed

"Tex, hold him." Loona said. The boy felt the male hellhound gently hold him by the torso, and Loona unsheathed one of her sharp claws. "Sorry if this hurts, Lincoln."

"oh no, no no!" Lincoln pleaded, but it fell on deaf ears. He felt Loona dig her claw into his skin and it was so painful. Nevertheless, Loona managed to scoop the bug out of his arm, making him fly into the ground. flipping around on his back and eventually gained his balance. It began running up to the group, but Moxxie managed to shoot it with his gun, killing it instantly.
