Lincoln was able to get a good-night sleep in the night after the Blood Beetle shit, thanks to Loona keeping him company through the night. the morning came and the birds were starting to chirp from outside the house and the sun was beaming over Lincoln's small round bedroom window like a spotlight on a stage. Someone was knocking on the door, and it peeped open to see Rita herself, who looked surprised to see Loona sleeping with Lincoln like a mother wolf with her pup, but then smiled to see how this literal bitch had a heart deep down. "Hey, Lincoln," Rita sang to her sang as she was gently tossing him to and fro with her hands. "Wake up, honey. Time for school."

Lincoln immediately woke up and got out of his bed, which made Loona wake up with a fright like a guard dog being woken up from hearing a burglar in the house. "What? What the fuck?!" Loona shouted as she got up and barred her teeth. "Oh." she sighed. "Just you, Mrs L."

"What's going on, Loona? Why were you sleeping with Lincoln last night?" Rita smirked.

"No reason." Loona sang flatly while rolling her eyes before pulling out her phone as usual

As Lincoln went to the bathroom line to take a shower, he was the second one to get in line, only behind his rocker sister Luna. It didn't take long for the other sisters to get in line too, and Rita looked at Loona. "Did he have a goodnight sleep?" She asked

"as far as I care, I think he did." Loona didn't bother looking at Rita as she talked to her. Then she let out a sigh and finally did look at Lincoln's mother. "Alright, he did have one nightmare about those fu-" Rita cleared her throat to prevent the female hellhound from cursing. "Accursed beetles. But I was there to... help cheer him up last night."

"You do care." Rita smiled. "That's so cute."

Loona growled and lowered her dog-like ears at Rita. "I don't care, Rita." Loona said while still gritting her teeth

Deep down, Rita knew the surly hellhound was lying. "Well I'm going to help my husband make the school lunches downstairs."

"Whatever." Loona flatly said as she was looking at her phone some more. She went downstairs to watch some TV while waiting for Blitzo to open a portal for her to get back to Hell.

After School

Lincoln was, indeed, feeling better after the whole scary blood beetle affair. Clyde was with him to hang out and play some video games. Suddenly, the white-haired boy was greeted by his sisters. "So you feeling ok, dude?" Asked Luna.

"Is there anything we can give you?" Asked Leni

"Like, literally Bun Bun right now?" Added Lori

"No. I'm ok, guys." Lincoln said. Then he felt the soreness of his arm happening from the hug penetrating his skin before and then felt the other wound on the patch where Loona had to dig her claw to get the dangerous bug out of him. "Ah! My arm's feeling a little sore right now."

"Here, let me get some ice for that," said Lynn before rushing to get a bag of ice from the freezer

"Is it hurting that much?" Asked Lana

Lily went up to Lincoln, wanting to kiss his arm better with her lips.

"Ok, ok, guys. I know you mean well, but it's not that bad."

"Oh?" said Lucy. "A flesh-eating bug almost ate your entire brain?"

"Lucy!" The other sisters and Clyde berated her.

"It's Hell. I just need to be more careful." Lincoln pointed

"Well I can't stand the thought of losing you, Lincoln!" Clyde hugged his friend with tears in his eyes.

"Clyde, it's ok, really." Said Lincoln. "I'm strong. Maybe not physically but mentally."

Suddenly, the tv showed a documentary on a white rhinoceros going around his business and grazing in the middle of a grassland in the Masai Mara. "The rhinoceros is about to become extinct in the future." Said the announcer. "Despite good conservation efforts, poaching is still rampant."

"Oh come on. These parks are doing a pretty good job." said Lincoln.

"As much as it pains me to say this," said Lisa, "but he could be right. Human greed has no bounds."

"yeah..." Luna roughed her head. "What if the rhino does become extinct."

"Well, I've read there are five species of rhino."

"Wow, really?" Said Lynn

"Yeah, two in Africa and three in Asia." Lincoln said. "I saw it on an Ace Hardcore documentary last week. He said the white, black and Indian rhinos are going up, but the Javan and Sumatran rhinoceros are going down."

"The articles are not always right." Lori admitted.

"So we get a glimpse of a poacher caught on tape. About to shoot the poor creature for his horn. What do you think the outcome will be next? Will the rhino meet his demise? Or will he be saved? You will have to wait and see tomorrow on Uncut and Uncensored." The announcer said before the program signed off

"You know what, let's make a bet on this. I bet the rhino will be ok and not die against you guys."

The sisters did love a good wager. "And what are the stakes?" Asked Lola

"The usual." Lincoln looked smug.

Clyde and the girls made a gasp. "The usual?" Said Clyde. "That's crazy, but I love the usual! Who's going to lose? I don't want to miss it!"

"Don't worry, Clyde." Said Lynn. "It will be Lincoln, and it will be hilarious."

"Come on guys, let's get the costumes ready for tomorrow.

Hanging out with his demon friends again, Lincoln was at the I.M.P office. "So are you feeling alright? After yesterday?" Asked Blitzo

"Yep. Just fine. I'm more worried about tomorrow if I lose a bet with my sisters." Lincoln did, indeed, looked worried shitless. Maybe the rhino will survive, maybe he won't. Now his sisters were shopping to get some kind of costume or outfit for him to try on

"So what will happen if you lose the bet with your sisters?" Asked Loona

"The usual."

"Ah. The usual." Tex said, looking casual then unsure. "What's the usual exactly, Lincoln?" He asked the boy

"It's-"

fifteen seconds later

everyone in the room, minus Lincoln laughed at what the "usual" was. "That sounds so embarrassing." Tex chuckled with his arms crossed

"Yeah that's beyond fucked up." Loona said. "Sorry, I shouldn't laugh, but that is really funny." She even wiped a tear from her eye.
