Poor Lincoln was rocking back and forth on the ground with his arms clutched on his legs as his eyes were wide. That beetle almost got to his brain and was about to eat it all up with his sharp incisors.
"Wh-what was that thing?" Lincoln asked in a shaky voice
"That, my friend, was a blood beetle." Said Blitzo. "One of the most dangerous fucking creatures to walk, or crawl in Hell. They are dangerous parasites that go for the brain as their favorite- Ah! Fuck!" He felt his left arm being punched by his adopted daughter.
"Blitzo, three words: Not. Fucking. Helping!" Loona snarled
The wound that the beetles got through and where Loona cut the piece of skin to get that beetle out was patched up by Moxxie, who tried to give him as much comfort as possible, along with his wife. This was one of the most traumatizing thing Lincoln could ever experience in his life. He might never look at insects the same way ever again, not after encountering a Blood Beetle like this. "You ok, Linc?" asked Millie
"I... I don't know." Lincoln said. "B-b-blood b-b-beetle." he began shimmering as he was rocking back and forth like he was feeling cold in the middle of Greenland. "About to e-e-e-eat my b-b-b-brain. So s-s-s-scary."
"It's ok, buddy." Tex knelt down to try and comfort him. "We already killed the bug. You don't have to worry about it anymore."
"But... it almost got to my brain." Lincoln breathed.
Octavia gave him a paper bag for him to breathe in and out of to help him relax. "Dude, dude, calm down." Loona stepped in to try and help.
"I can't." Lincoln said. "I can't believe i almost let a bug go inside my brain and i almost-" he felt his shoulders being grabbed and the female hellhound gave him a slap across the face.
"Snap out of it, Lincoln!" Loona said
"Loona! What the fuck?!" said Moxxie
"No, no, it's ok." Lincoln breathed. "I needed it. Just... can't believe i had a... near-death experience."
The female hellhound let out a sigh, looking guilty, and looked back at her human friend. "Sorry, kiddo. I... was just trying to help you out."
"No, i've suffered worse pain from Lola." the white-haired boy reassured. Then he looked at the two wounds from the bug and Loona. "I need to see a doctor before i get an infection."
"Well, we can't go to an Earth doctor." said Stolas. "otherwise it will risk the secret of Hell being discovered by every human."
"Do they have hospitals down here?" asked Lincoln
"Oh yes. What you need is a Hellbies and Tetanus shot." Stolas said. Blood Beetles are known to have Hellbies, which is Hell's equivalent of rabies."
Lincoln looked unsure, but he realized he might not have a choice in this. He didn't want his demon friends to get in trouble with the overlords of Hell by exposing Blood beetles to the whole earth. He had to go to a doctor down here in Hell to keep that secret safe.
Because hospitals in Hell were even more shitty than the American medical system, Stolas had to come there personally and threaten the doctors and nurses to have Lincoln get those shots immediately.
A large demon that looked like an anthropomorphic rhino with two large and thick horns on his nose. "Doctor Horny at your service." Said he. "So, I've been wanting to meet you for a while, Kid." Said the rhino demon in a deep voice similar to Michael Clarke Duncan. "My daughter is a big fan of yours and your singing." He pulled out a piece of paper and a pen. "Can my Rousseau have an autograph?"
