Happy Reading 💞As the car came to a halt, my eyes turned sideways to look at my Sunflower sleeping peacefully as her body leaned against the door. Her one hand supported her head, while the other was hooked with mine.
"Never ask her again about how we reconciled." I said to Navi calmly looking at Sunflower's sleeping figure.
"But..."her voice was a little louder but I shut her up. "Even though our reconciliation brought happiness, I don't want her to relive those moments again. It contained more pain than contentment." I opened the door and marched towards the other side.
Pulling her in my arms, we made our way to her home. Her mother opened the door, and was a little shocked as I was lifting her in my arms.
"Is she fine?" Her mother asked and I nodded my head instead of replying something in words and made my way towards her room. I made her lay down on the bed and instructed Navi to change her clothes before she went to sleep herself.
As I marched out of her room, I saw her mother. Her eyes filled with tension as she took slow steps towards me. "Aunty, she's absolutely fine. So gayi thi car mein, islie uthake le aaya." I replied while grinning like an idiot which made her chuckle.
Moving forward, I entered the guest room and changed my clothes before I dozed off.
NEXT DAY
Reya hugged her mother and father as we were departing from here to Delhi. I had a flight in the evening while Navi needed to attend her class in the afternoon. Reya decided to take the leave with us because of her college and so now we all were leaving together.
As we took our leave for her parents, we settled ourselves in the car. And my whole journey was ruined by my sister who chose to sit between me and my Sunflower. Though the ride was just two hours long, yet my urge to hold my baby in my arms kept growing with each passing minute.
Finally we dropped Navi and I literally threw daggers at her for ruining the ride. "I'll kill you one day myself." I muttered as I unload her bag from the car. A wide grin appeared on her face while she said, "Your soon to be wife will be there to protect me from you." I rolled my eyes at her while my heart skipped a beat when she said 'Soon to be wife'.
The thought of her waking up in my arms everyday after our marriage, our little banters and cuddling her every night flushed my cheeks with the darkest shade of red.
I settled back as we departed towards Reya's house after leaving Navi. My hands snaked around Reya's waist as I pulled her closer to me. "What are you doing, Vayu? We're in a car." Her eyes bulged out as she whispered while I shrugged my shoulders with a smirk on my face.
