"Tejasvi! She...she said she'll sep...separate us aga..again." she spoke, making my body stiffen.
I looked at her with pity, holding her closer to myself. "Baby, I think you're hallucinating." I said as calmly as I could. But my words sting her that she patted my chest hard and yelled, "I was not hallucinating, Vayu."
"She is here, in this resort..I saw..I saw her." She tried to speak as her heavy chest heaved up and down.
"Okayy Sunflower, don't worry babe! I'm here." I tried to coo her while my own conscience stopped helping me. My veins constricted causing the blood pressure in me rising. I laid her down on the bed and she held me tightly, not leaving me even for a second.
Her face buried in my chest as she sobbed. My hands caressing her back to calm her down. After a few minutes she lifted her head and cried, "Vayu...she said she'll separate you and me." Her voice was barely audible. Tears didn't stop oozing out of her eyes.
"Shhhh..no one's gonna separate us, Sunflower." I replied pulling her close to me. "But..." she tried to speak but I stopped her, "Shhh..no need to say anything. Please babe."
She hummed and closed her eyes, dipping her face into my chest again. I caressed her hair and rubbed her back until she went into slumber. Gently tucking the comforter around her, I stood up cautiously, not to wake her up.
I moved out of the suite tiptoed, and made my way to the reception. I showed the receptionist, Tejasvi's photograph to ask if she has checked in the resort recently.
I was amazed to know that no girl like her or with the same name and face ever checked in here in the past few days. I even asked the manager but the response was the same.
I went back to our suite to check on Reya. Closing the door behind, I strode towards her. Luckily, she hasn't woken up and was sleeping peacefully yet her brows were frowned in fear.
"It was your hallucination, Sunflower." I whispered looking at her sleeping figure. Something tricked my mind and I made my way towards the balcony with her phone in my hand. I dialled a call and it was picked up instantly.
"Hey Dr. Reya." I heard the voice from the other end. "Hey doctor, it's her fiance Vayush." I replied. "Hey Mr. Kashyap! What's up?" he asked.
I described to him calmly whatever happened an hour ago. "Mr. Kashyap, I'm afraid she has stopped taking her medicines." The doctor spoke from the other side, confusing my senses.
"Medicines?" I said in a query. "Yes, I've prescribed medicines to keep her Schizophrenia in control. She was on pills for the last four months." My body froze as his words reached my ear.
Schizophrenia? She didn't tell me!
"Doctor, I'm not getting anything! Can you please tell me what's going on?" I asked, my voice was low with a touch of concern.
