"Mr. Vayush Kashyap, will you allow me to annoy you for the rest of your life? To slap you every now and then when you blabber shits? To wake up in your arms every morning? Will you give me the honour to be your wife?" Her words made my steps fixed on the ground.
Words didn't form in my mouth as my eyes were just stuck on her. My vision started getting blurred as tears began oozing out of my eyes. My heart raced faster than usual while my hairs experienced piloerection. I just couldn't believe she proposed me right now.
"...say something! My knees are hurting." She said with a chuckle withdrawing me out of my thoughts. I took slow steps towards her and kneeled down in front of her. I looked at the ring in her hand and my eyes widened at it. It was the same platinum ring I've always fantasised about. It has been in my cart for years now and I was just waiting for my first salary to buy it.
My eyes moved to her level, and I lunged forward to pull her into a hug. She giggled in my arms and tightened her hold around my torso. "I love you so much, Reya." I voiced dipping my face in the crook of her neck. "I love you too, Vayu!" She kissed my neck.
I pulled away to face her, her eyes holding emotions which I could read correctly. She forwarded the ring towards me, making my gaze shift to it. "Won't you reply?" she said with a pout in a cute way. I chuckled at her while my lips formed an ear to ear smile.
I cupped her cheeks, gently caressing them with my thumb. I leaned forward as I took her lips into mine. Kissing her softly, I whispered between our lips, "It's always a yes, Sunflower! A fucking yes!" She pulled away a little and stared into my eyes. Tears rolled down her cheeks but before they could jump down her jaw, I kissed them.
"Why are you crying my love?" I cooed her as my hands trailed down her waist. She hugged me tightly and whispered, "I can't believe this, Vayu. I can't believe we finally defeated everyone who tried to separate us. We...we..." her words died between her sobs.
"Shhh..don't say anything." I said and hugged her more tightly. As much as she wanted to say her things out, I didn't want her to break again. I would listen to her but right now I want her to just feel my love for her without saying anything.
I stood up with her in my arms and headed towards the car. By now, everyone left the place already and it was just the two of us there. I placed her on the passenger seat gently and fastened the seat belt before getting myself behind the steering wheel.
I looked at her hand, holding the ring. I kissed her cheeks and said, "Pehnaegi nahi?" as I forwarded my ring finger to her. She looked at me with watery eyes and chuckled before she slid the ring into my finger. "You stalked my phone, didn't you?" I chuckled looking at the ring.
She giggled before nodding like a kid. The ring perfectly fits around my finger. I pecked her forehead before starting the engine. As we drove through the dark thick woods, my hand rested on her thighs while she kept her hands over me. The soft music made the road trip romantic. We drive thru the Mac Donald's and ordered Sunflower's favourite Mac Maharaja meal along with a Mac Puff.
