1. this is my first fanfic, I'm hoping it's good, I'm sorry if it's not 2. this story is written in third person simply because I like writing it that way but if you guys want first person let me know 3. in the first chapter there will be a short first person paragraph however it's written from the view of an unknown narrator and I plan to approach that idea multiple times, it's an odd way of writing but I like to do it. It's sort of like how The Book Thief is narrated by Death if you know the book 4. there's a prologue of the Hogwarts Express and The Sorting then skips to the start of fifth year 5. I can never find James x reader fanfics that I like anymore and I'm hoping I make myself one I like but as I'm writing, it's proving itself very difficult 6. this might be medium paced burn, some fanfics are way too fast, and I don't have the time or energy for the slowest burning fic ever 7. there will be some continuity errors, such as double potions being an option starting in fifth year 8. the Yule ball will happen, most likely in 6th year if it's a slow enough burn? 9. I will probably have a skip to their future to show what happens in the end 10. no smut, sorry, just trying to appeal to everyone 11. y/n will be referred to with they/her pronouns. I'm sorry if that does not fit everyone.
BIG NOTE!! please forgive me for any errors or changes as I will still be editing it, and please forgive me as I will not have a steady uploading schedule because I have work, I will be starting band camp next week, and school starts in August
