chapter 17- the end

Sarah’s pov

When I asked him where my gift is at he looked at olive for some kind of assurance. He came towards me took my hand and tugged me towards the Christmas tree. And he looked so damn sweet in the casual outfit he was wearing and his eyes were so worth getting lost in., so much so that I almost couldn’t hear the song in the background, good lord I didn’t notice anything if only I did I would have seen olive handing oliver over to jeff and taking out her camera.
Alex took something out of his pocket, it was a box, a small one, is it what I think it is? My heart started pounding, it was threating to come out of my throat with a little more push.. I could hear my breaths too, my eyes grew wider when I saw Alex get down on one knee with the box opened in front of me. A ring. It was a goddamn ring. Shocked I could only do one thing that is cover my mouth to stop the on coming gasp.

“Sarah I know we’ve had our challenges  and I might not have been there to soothe you during those times. But I want you to know there’s no one who cares for your tender heart more than me. I’m in love with every inch of you and your soul. And all I want to do is to make you smile at every chance I get. But now, I want to do this differently. I want you to be my wife. Make me the happiest person in the world and say yes, please?”

I was over the moon, I was on cloud 9 and all the utopias I can be on together at the same time. I couldn’t believe my eyes. This is really happening what I thought wouldn’t happen is happening making me the happiest person on the whole earth, the universe everywhere without thinking more I said

“yess! Yes! Yesss!” to which he slid the ring around my finger got up and we kissed. I was crying and I could feel others In the room sobbing silently too… I turned towards everyone when I saw olive put her phone back down and came towards me engulfing me in her hug and saying “I’m so so so happy for you” then when she let me go she turned towards everyone and said “ best Christmas eve every eh?"

“indeed” everyone said

“Also Jeff, Sarah, Pedro sorry for keeping you guys in the dark… yesterday I and alex went to all the jewellry shops Jax had suggested and Mr. Alex here could seem to find the perfect one in any of them until the very last shop. Which is why I was late home yesterday. And Jeff, Pedro were kept in the dark because they have big mouth and do not know how to keep a secret which is why alex begged me to go with him. He was the big dog I told sarah about. Sorry everyone” said olive looking accusingly towards Alex.

Everyone just laughed, and smiled like a family. Yes
Family isn’t someone who gives birth to you or provides you with food and clothes. It is people who make you feel home, it people with whom you feel like you have zero problems and also can tell them everything. And this is my little family, Alex- the love of my life, olive, jeff, pedro, jax and now baby oliver too. And I couldn’t be more happy with this family of ours. This was the best I could have had, and I have it.
