The Hogwarts Express pulled into Hogsmeade Station with a triumphant hiss of steam, and Y/n Malfoy stepped onto the platform, her heart fluttering with a blend of excitement and trepidation. She navigated through the throng of students, her eyes scanning the familiar faces and the not-so-familiar ones that whispered her name in hushed tones.

"Is that...?" she heard someone murmur as she passed.

The weight of her family name was palpable, but Y/n kept her chin up, maintaining the proud Malfoy facade she had perfected over the years.

Among the sea of students, a figure stood out-a girl with sharp features and an air of authority.

"Pansy Parkinson," someone whispered beside her, and Y/n turned to see Pansy approaching with confident strides. Pansy's eyes sparkled with recognition as she extended a hand.

"You must be Y/n Malfoy," Pansy greeted warmly, her smile knowing. "Draco's sister. Welcome to Hogwarts."

Y/n took Pansy's hand, her grip firm despite the swirling emotions within her.

"Nice to meet you, Pansy," she replied, a hint of uncertainty lacing her voice.

Together, they navigated towards the awaiting carriages, Pansy effortlessly filling the silence with tales of Hogwarts life and the intricate web of relationships that defined Slytherin House.

"Draco and his friends are quite the ensemble," Pansy remarked, her eyes glinting mischievously. "Especially Mattheo Riddle."

"Mattheo Riddle?" Y/n echoed, curiosity piqued.

The name carried weight within Slytherin circles, invoking a mix of admiration and wariness.

"Oh, he's a handful," Pansy chuckled. "But you'll see for yourself."

As they settled into the carriage, Pansy continued her narrative, weaving anecdotes and advice seamlessly into the conversation.

The journey to Hogwarts passed in a blur of anticipation and conversation, Y/n absorbing every detail with eager fascination. Upon arrival, the castle loomed before them, its grandeur a stark reminder of the history and tradition that defined Hogwarts.

The Great Hall buzzed with excitement as students gathered around the Sorting Hat, awaiting their turn to be sorted. Y/n's heart raced with a mixture of nerves and anticipation as she approached the stool, her eyes scanning the sea of faces for a familiar sight.

"Malfoy, Y/n," Professor McGonagall called out, and Y/n took a deep breath before placing the hat upon her head.

Inside her mind, the Sorting Hat's voice echoed, probing her thoughts and feelings. "Ambitious, determined... yes, Slytherin!"

The hat's decision was met with applause and cheers from the Slytherin table, and Y/n couldn't help but feel a swell of pride as she took her place among her new housemates.

Y/n found herself seeking out Draco amidst the bustling crowd. Spotting him at the Slytherin table, she made her way over, a smile spreading across her face as she approached her older brother.

"Draco," she greeted warmly, excitement bubbling in her voice.

Draco looked up from his conversation with Blaise Zabini, his expression lighting up as he saw her.

"Little sis," he said with a grin, standing to embrace her. "You made it."

"I did," Y/n replied, returning his embrace. "Thanks to Pansy."

"She's been a great help," Y/n agreed, feeling a surge of gratitude towards Pansy for guiding her through the whirlwind of her first day back at Hogwarts.

"Blaise, Enzo, Theo, this is my sister," Draco announced proudly, his arm around Y/n's shoulders. "Meet Y/n Malfoy."

Blaise's smirk widened into a charming grin.

"Ah, another Malfoy joins our ranks. Pleasure to meet you," he said smoothly, extending a hand.

Y/n shook Blaise's hand, noting the confident grip and the warmth in his eyes.

"Nice to meet you too, Blaise," she replied, offering a small smile.

Enzo Berkshire, with his laid-back demeanor, leaned in with a friendly grin.

"Welcome to Slytherin, Y/n ," he said warmly. "Draco talks about you all the time."

"All good things, I hope," Y/n replied with a playful glint in her eye, earning a chuckle from Draco and a broader grin from Enzo.

"The best," Draco affirmed, ruffling her hair affectionately. "Mattheo should be joining us soon."

Mattheo Riddle, seventh-year Slytherin and reputed playboy, confident, charming, and perpetually surrounded by admirers. His smirks and playful banter with the girls were the talk of the school.

Lounged casually at the end of the table, his gaze drifting lazily over the newcomers. As Draco's introduction reached its conclusion, Mattheo finally acknowledged their presence with a nod.

"Well, well, what do we have here?" Mattheo drawled, catching Y/n's eye with an amused smirk.

"Another Malfoy in the den of serpents," he added, his tone teasing.

"And you must be Mattheo Riddle, the epitome of charm and cigarettes," Y/n replied, meeting his gaze with a raised eyebrow.

Mattheo chuckled, as he leaned back in his chair.

"Sharp tongue. I like that. Makes you almost tolerable."

Blaise, ever the mediator, jumped in with a grin.

"Come on, Mattheo. Play nice," he teased, though there was a hint of genuine warmth in his tone.

Enzo nudged Mattheo with an elbow, a knowing smile playing on his lips.

"Behave, Riddle. We have a reputation to uphold."

Mattheo rolled his eyes but couldn't hide the smirk that tugged at his lips.

"Always, Enzo. Always."

The conversation flowed into lighter banter, easing the tension that hung in the air moments before. Y/n found herself drawn into their circle, the dynamic between Draco's friends both familiar and strangely welcoming.
