There's something bout her, a joy profound,

In the physics lab, amidst experiments abound,
Boys on the side, girls engrossed in their task,
But my gaze, elsewhere, in love, I was drowned,
Lost in her, unaware of the questions they'd ask.

Eyes traced her every move, every gentle sway,
In my own world, where she was my only view,
Unnoticed by her, yet my heart would betray,
Hopeful for a glance, a moment overdue.

A friend's jesting snap brought me back to ground,
Embarrassed briefly, shameless in love's grasp,
Yet moments later, in my thoughts, she was found,
Staring again, ignoring time's fast clasp.

After school, on our way home, she asked out of the blue,
"What's up with the look?" her question hung in the air,
Confused in the moment, not understanding her view,
Months later, it dawned on me, the truth was clear and fair.

How did she know, if never our gazes aligned,
Yet the class had noticed, my admiration defined.
