There's something bout her, a story untold,
In the wake of my confession, her words took hold.

After I confessed, she asked me why today,
Why all of a sudden, I had so much to say.
I told her it wasn't sudden, I'd been trying to reveal,
For a long time now, the way I truly feel.

With the session ending, I didn't want regret,
Not telling her my feelings, a chance unmet.
She said, "Alright, okay, I don't know what to say,"
Shocked, I suppose, by the words I conveyed.

I told her no hurry, she could take her time,
To reply when ready, to sort through her mind.
She agreed and the convo closed, days passed by,
Me waiting for her reply, with a heart-heavy sigh.

Impatient, I texted, seeking her reply,
Thoughts overwhelmed me, as days went by.
Friends said, "Get a yes or no, end this chase,"
So I pushed for an answer, seeking closure, grace.

She said, "Ayush, we don't even know each other well,
We're merely online friends, sharing memes, stories to tell.
Your phrase was too big, like committing a life,
Of course, I'm not saying no, but not yet a yes to be your wife."

"I'm giving you a chance, let's be friends first,
Get to know each other, quench that thirst.
Rejecting someone I don't know would be rude,
Let's build something real, not just an interlude."

Her words struck a chord, deep within my heart,
Friends might say "friend zone," tearing us apart.
But it felt different, truly unique,
So I listened to my heart, a future to seek.

From the very start, I craved to know her well,
Every detail, every story she had to tell.
This was my chance, a friendship to start,
And so it began, with an open heart.
