~ Gandie's POV~

I awoke to the birds singing, and the smell of my father's pipe. ('Every morning') I say to myself as I get out of bed and head for the kitchen. I see my father, reading a paper with a questionable look on his face, i walked over to my father and start reading the heading. "On behalf of Gandie Olorin, we ask that Gandalf The Grey join the company of Thorin Oakenshield"

'Why in the world would Thorin Oakenshield be asking for my father on my behalf?' I thought to myself. "Well my dear, what do you think of this?" my father asked me as i came from behind him and took seat next to him. "I think it's great that Thorin and the company want to reclaim Erebor, but what i don't understand is why they are asking for you on my behalf? I mean Thorin knows that you will help whether he asks me or not." i respond as i grab the cup of chamomile tea and take a sip. "probably because he knows how much you care for your father just as he did" he responds with a caring look in his eyes. i can't help but smile as i think back to how Thorin was with his father. Thráin never pushed Thorin to hard, he knew that he had shown Thorin everything he needed to prove he was fit to be the King of Erebor.

I still remember the first time I met Thráin and Thorin. it was during the battle of Azanulbizar. Legions of orcs that had claimed the ancient dwarf kingdom of Khazad-dum "Moria", Ran by none other than Azog the Defiler. i was tracking Azog, trying to find out exactly what the orcs wanted.

"KNOCK KNOCK!" I hear and someone knocking on the door, bring me out of my thoughts, i head for the door, opening it I find none other then my good friend Amara and Thorin's nephew Kili. "Hi Auntie!" Kili says as he jumps at me wrapping his arms around my neck, I grab him laughing "well hello to you too Kili." Kili had always called me auntie from the moment he could talk. Even though Thorin and I weren't even official.

"That never gets old" Amara says chuckling "Are you and Gandalf ready to go?" she responds "yes just waiting for the rest of the company to get here" I responded as Amara closed the door behind her. we hugged and headed for the kitchen where father was.

"Hello Gandalf, how are you this fine morning" she asked "I'm doing quite well Amara, and how are you?" he asks. "I'm well, thank you."

Suddenly two loud thuds hit the front door, "he is here" I hear my father knowing, very well exactly who it was. i headed for the door, opening it to none other than Thorin and the rest of the company " Hello my ukaar, how are you this morning?" Thorin asked as he came into the door and came and kissed my cheek. "Hello my Amrâlimê, I'm very well, and you?" I responded as i wrapped an arm around his neck. I was abit taller than him, his head came up to my shoulder. so there wasn't much of a problem with height between us. "I'm better now my karkith" he responded back with smile. "Hello boys" i say to the rest of the company behind Thorin. They all say hello back and come in and headed for the kitchen.

~ Thorin's POV ~

I couldn't help but feel in a better mood from being around Gandie again. She was a beauty of golden treasure and quite honestly i wanted to ask her to marry me. we still hadn't made us official but we were definitely close. we had always been close especially after The Battle of Azanulbizar back in 2799. If it wasn't for Gandie tossing the broken branch my way after I was kicked from the small cliff by none other than Azog. In turn our friendship had started from there, slowly our friendship and our love, well my love for her started to blossom. I wasn't fully sure how she truly felt about me even though she called me names you would call your significant other.

"Ah Thorin, your here. just in time. come have a seat in the kitchen." I was brought out of my thought to Gandalf as he came into the front area. We all headed to the kitchen and had a seat and started to dish out our food. "Now Gandalf have you thought of what the contract stated?" Balin asked him. "Indeed I have, and i have already went and spoken with the lad, he should be here at any moment now." Gandalf responded. "Who is this final member of our company you have decided to chose Gandalf?" I ask. "Well we all know that the dragon is accustom to the smell of dwarf, the smell of a hobbit, would surely knock him off his mark. So I have asked the hobbit Mr. Bilbo Baggins to join our company." just then there was a knock on the door as Gandie got up from her chair to answer the door, I turned to look at Balin and only got a small smile and nod from him. I then heard footsteps and the sweet voice of Gandie telling the hobbit everyone was in the kitchen at the table.
