Chapter BAD LIAR

"That was cold...Wolf"
The sound of the sloshing water underneath them was the only sound that was being created on the trip back to the base with both Abigail and Wolf as silent as silent gets to the point that it was making Evans bored. However for him he couldn't even move around a lot since he was on the back of the saviour that got him out of there. He didn't know who she was but she sounded like a nice person and as for Wolf....
Not so much... Evans was hoping to laugh and talk with his old friend but the look and the movements he made back there was not something he had seen from Wolf in all the years that he served with him. It was like something inside of him had snapped where he just didn't care anymore besides ending this forsaken war that the Combined Forces had no hopes of doing due to the malicious activity in the army.
Even Evans couldn't believe the state of the army and what it has become, he could remember the times like it was yesterday, with the tank columns all lined up ready to advance, the troops all armed and ready to make progress in liberating the place but now the same streets that people watched the tanks go through and the troops were desolate like there was no army that could stand toe to toe with the Ferri.
With the additional state of what Azur Lane was up to it was no wonder that Wolf was upset with how the way things were running but he didn't know the full story with Wolf and the forces when he was backstabbed but the way he phrased it and said it to the girls was enough to tell him that Wolf was dwelling on it and that was one of the only things that he knew that the person sailing beside him was Wolf.
Not some other soldier or some stranger who was trying to carry the whole world on his weak and tired shoulders but he keeps going. "Wolf...it seems that a lot of things have changed between you the forces", "Yeah....I'm sorry you two had to see that...I wasn't speaking with a clear mind", "No need to apologise Wolf it's what you felt deep down and that's what counts". Evans puts his right hand on his chest curled up in a fist and tapping it on it.
"It's the only thing that distinguishes us from the Ferri.", Those wise words were enough to make Wolf look a bit more brighter into the future than the gloomy one he was thinking in his clouded state of mind. It wasn't enough to clear it but it at least made him feel like he hadn't gone mad due to all the betrayal and chaos in the forces. He looks back to the forces base wondering if they were going to follow him or track him at all but there was no spotlight.
No helicopter or person in sight... they were truly left alone which was good news for all three cause that mission could of gone fully wrong. They were still lucky that they had the radio still running when Matthews was backed into a corner along with Wolfs sense that trouble was coming and he was glad that he made the right call. If he hadn't done it Matthews could of died while the three could of been held prisoner or executed by Angelia and the rest while the rest of command did nothing.
It was weak from her but that lady was never going to understand.
"Hey Wolf by the way where was AN and AK-12? Aren't they with her usually?", "Well for AN she decided to abandon DEFY and joined Sector V....however for 12 she abandoned DEFY and the forces with Davis and his team going rogue". To Evans he raised his eyebrow up in surprise, it was something that he was not expecting AK 12 to do but after being so long from the forces he was not sure what kind of relationship she had with Wolf or with the others.
