A person spins a coin on a wooden table, with a sad look on her face the room was warm from the battering elements outside the base but it still felt as cold as ever to the girl. Did she make the right choice that day? Sure the others agreed but the looks on the others faces along with her own was enough to tell her that her confidence was waning and there was nothing she could do about it anymore.
She spins the coin once again to face the tails part of it, it's all she has ever been doing, chasing a ghost that didn't want to be found and when she did all she would do was pull a few strings hoping that her little sister would walk into it blindly and she did. She was not sure if Wolf was still alive from the multiple gunshot wounds that they belted him with but there was a slight feeling in her telling her that she left him to die just like before.
She hears the sound of a plate touch the table revealing a slice of chocolate mud cake with 635 taking a seat next to M4 who keeps her face on the table wondering...it's all she had been doing for the past couple of hours. She looked slowly to the right side of her to see an empty seat on the table where 15 would sit in. She could still see the angry face of her sister along with the yelling and crying that she was saying at her. It was sharp like a pair of knives that continue to pierce into her fragile heart.
"M4 it's alright...15 believed she was doing the right thing, give it a few days and she will change her mind and come back". There was no response from M4 besides a quiet sigh that pushes the dust off the table but to 635 she just enjoyed her chocolate mud cake, she knew that 15 would come back eventually, she just knew it. However in her mind she still wonders about the idea that Wolf might of been innocent after all this time.
She tried to push it out before but the longer it stayed with her the longer the puzzle pieces began to form into the shape that was required for it to connect together. The longer it was there the longer it was harder to deny, but knowing that Wolf had so many secrets on him it was going to be impossible to prove the truth in it all.
"Just why would he do it?"
It was a thing that she should of thought of along with the rest but some impassable wall of denial and guilt was stopping them from accepting the fact that they could be wrong and if they were wrong, they knew that Wolf was not going to let them back in again or trust them like he did back then. Sure she could build a tower of understanding of Wolf and accept that she was wrong, but even if she reached over the towering mass of guilt she knew he would just throw her out the one way gate.
She puts the desert spoon into the cake getting out of the squeaky wooden chair and placing her hand on the shoulder of M4 who could not look at anything else but the temporary room of 15 and M16. To be given the burden to run a team when she knew that she did not have the strength or the same tools that M16 once had. She can't lead a team and she knew that. However looking at the other two siblings they could only rely on her to get them to the end alive.
She tries to think back to some of the lessons that she had with Wolf about the idea of leader ship. "To be strong and willed, wiling to take the bullet to protect the others, lead by example, not from a rule book". Those words had stuck with her even till now, as much as she hated the guy she envied his strength at leading others. To go through the depths of hell with a smile on his face even if it burned every part of his body.
One that could rally the troops even in the darkest of hours and gloomiest of skies...that ray of light that stood there opposing the darkness with his gun held high and a courageous roar that made the others yell with him. A man that everyone hates but previously respected, However there was one group that did not change their view of him since they were the one that changed the most by his leadership.
