Ishani's expression softened, but the worry remained etched in her features. "How can you be so sure?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly. "How can you promise something like that when you don't even know what the future holds?"
Armaan smiled, his eyes full of affection. "Because, my love, the future isn't as uncertain as you think.
"When you know someone is your forever, there's no question about it. And I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you're my forever."
Ishani's eyes filled with tears, a mix of happiness and uncertainty swirling within her. She wanted to believe Armaan, to trust in his words, but the fear of losing him still lingered in the back of her mind.
"How do you know that I'm your forever?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. "What if we're not meant to be? What if we're just friends who've gotten caught up in a moment?"
Armaan shook his head, his expression steady and sure.
"I know you're my forever because when I'm with you, I feel like I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be," Armaan said, his voice gentle but firm. "I know because when I look into your eyes, I see a future worth fighting for.
"And I know because every single day, I wake up and choose you, over and over again. I choose to love you, to fight for you, to be there for you.
"And that's never going to change, no matter what."
Armaan's hard work and determination had paid off. As the results of the 12th grade exams were announced, he had not only passed with flying colors but had also secured the top position in his school.
This meant that his journey to Massachusetts was about to begin, a step that would take him away from Ishani for an uncertain period of time.
As the excitement and nervousness of the occasion caught up with him, Armaan realized that his time with Ishani was quickly running out.
With each passing day, the reality of Armaan's impending departure weighed heavily on both him and Ishani. They spent every possible moment together, trying to make the most of the little time they had left.
Ishani couldn't help but wonder how she would cope without Armaan's presence in her life. But she tried her best to be strong for him, to give him a positive send-off, even if her heart was breaking inside.
As the day of Armaan's departure drew nearer, their goodbyes became more and more difficult.
