"Armaan, please, you have to believe me!" Ishani cried, her voice quivering. "I don't know how Ravi knows about the mole. I swear, I've never shared that information with him. You know how much I love you, you know I wouldn't cheat on you. There has to be some other explanation for this!"

"Believe you?" Armaan's voice was a low growl, the hurt and betrayal evident in every syllable. "How can I believe you, Ishani? When Ravi told me that you've been unhappy with me, that you've been meeting him in secret. Do you have any idea how much that hurts? To think that I've been nothing more than a convenient cover-up, while you've been giving yourself to another man?"

Armaan's face was stony, his jaw set in a hard line. "I've heard enough. Get out, Ishani. Get out of my sight, out of my life. I don't want to see you or hear from you ever again."

"There's nothing to talk about," Armaan cut her off, his voice like ice. "You made your choice, Ishani."

Ishani's world was collapsing around her, each second that passed without Armaan's forgiveness a reminder of the pain she was experiencing. She stood frozen in place, tears streaming down her face, her body racked with sobs.

As she watched Armaan turn his back on her, her heart shattered into a thousand pieces. She knew that if she couldn't convince him of her innocence, she would have no choice but to leave him.

"I love you, Armaan," she sobbed.

Ishani took a step forward, her hand outstretched, desperate for any sign of mercy from the man she had once thought she knew so well.

"Armaan, please listen to me," she begged, her voice hoarse from the tears. "I know that you're hurting, and I understand why. But I'm not the person Ravi is trying to paint me as. I love you, and only you. I would never do anything to hurt you."

Armaan didn't turn around, his body rigid with anger and pain.

Ishani's heart felt like it was breaking in two. She had tried everything she could think of, but Armaan's walls were up and impenetrable. With a last, desperate glance over her shoulder, she turned and fled the room, tears blinding her as she stumbled towards the door.

She made her way to the front door, her footsteps heavy with sorrow. She knew that she could never stay in this house, in this city, with the memories of Armaan's mistrust hanging over her like a cloud.

Ishani left the house, the door closing behind her with a deafening finality. She stood on the doorstep, the cold air biting at her skin, her hands clutching at her chest as if to hold in the pain.
