Ishani and Armaan both turned to look at Aryamaan, his small face pale and frightened, his eyes wide with confusion and fear.
Armaan's heart broke at the sight of the boy, his son. "Aryamaan, I... I'm sorry," he said, his voice heavy with emotion.
Ishani stepped in front of her son, her body rigid with anger. "Don't you dare try to speak to him!" she snarled.
Aryamaan's eyes darted between the two adults, his small shoulders shaking with fear.
Aryamaan looked up at his mother, his face filled with questions. "Mommy, what's going on?" he asked, his voice small and uncertain.Ishani's gaze softened as she looked down at her son, her anger fading, replaced by a sadness that seemed to seep into her very bones. "Aryamaan, honey, I... I think it's time you knew the truth."
Aryamaan looked up at her, his face etched with confusion. "The truth about what, Mommy?" he asked, his voice small and fearful.
Ishani knelt down in front of him, her eyes shining with tears. "The truth about your father, Aryamaan. Your father is Armaan."
Aryamaan turned to Armaan, his eyes searching for the truth. "But why didn't you tell me?" he asked, his voice small and hurt. "Why didn't you tell me that you're my father? Why didn't you live with us? Is it because of you why mom always used to remain sad?"
Armaan was shocked and proud at the same moment to see his 4 year old son being so protective for his mom and understanding everything so well
Armaan knelt down in front of Aryamaan, his voice quiet and sincere. "I know that I left you and your mother, Aryamaan. And I know that I can never make up for that. But I want to try. I want to be a part of your life, if you'll give me a chance."
Aryamaan looked up at his mother, seeking guidance. Ishani nodded, her expression softening as she took in Armaan's words.
Ishani's eyes welled up with tears, the past flooding back to her in a torrent of emotions. She remembered the day of Aryamaan's birth, the agony of labor, and the crushing disappointment of being alone.
"I trusted you, Armaan," she whispered, her voice breaking. "I loved you. But you believed Ravi Chopra over me. You made me doubt myself. You left me to suffer alone."
Armaan's face was filled with remorse, his eyes full of tears. "I know, Ishani. I know that I betrayed your trust.
Ishani's eyes met Armaan's, her heart torn between the desire for retribution and the longing for reconciliation.
"I can't forget what you did, Armaan," she said, her voice thick with emotion. "I can't forget how you abandoned us."
Armaan nodded, his shoulders slumped with the weight of his guilt. "I understand, Ishani. But I'm begging you, please give me a chance. Let me prove to you that I can be the father that Aryamaan deserves."
Ishani stood silent for a moment, her mind struggling to reconcile the pain of the past with the possibility of a brighter future.
"I don't know if I can trust you," she said, her voice low and strained. "I don't know if I can forgive you."
Armaan took a deep breath, steeling himself for Ishani's response. "I understand, Ishani. But please, just give me a chance. I promise that I'll trust you till eternity. I know I have a lot of work to do to make up for what I've done, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes."
Ishani's eyes searched Armaan's, her expression softening as she took in his earnest plea.
"I don't know, Armaan," she said, her voice trembling.
Armaan reached out, gently taking Ishani's hand in his own. "I can't promise you that I won't make mistakes, Ishani. But I can promise you that I will try my hardest to be the man you deserve, the father that Aryamaan needs.
Ishani's eyes met Armaan's, her lips trembling as she fought to keep her emotions in check.
"Alright, Armaan," she said, her voice breaking. "I'll give you a chance. For Aryamaan's sake."
Armaan's heart soared, a small glimmer of hope breaking through the storm of regret and guilt.
"Thank you, Ishani," he whispered. "I won't let you down.
