Armaan sighed, his heart aching at the hurt in Ishani's eyes. "I know, Ishani," he said softly. "But this isn't just about what you want. It's about what's best for both of us."
Ishani's frustration boiled over, her lips pressing into a thin line. "So, what? You're just going to keep me at arm's length forever? We'll never be more than friends because you're afraid of what might happen?"
Armaan's eyes darkened, his resolve wavering.
"Ishani, it's not that simple," Armaan said, struggling to find the right words. "I love you, I really do. But I also don't want to hurt you. You're still so young, and you have your whole life ahead of you. I don't want to be the reason you miss out on any of it."
Ishani's eyes flashed, her hands balling into fists at her sides. "You think that's why I want to be with you? Because I'm just young and naive?"
Armaan shook his head, his expression pained.Armaan smiled, a glint of mischief in his eyes. "Well, you know what they say, Ishani," he said, his voice taking on a teasing lilt. "When the right time comes, even if you stop me, I won't stop. After all, who can resist such a beautiful, stubborn girl?"
Ishani rolled her eyes, but couldn't hide the smile that tugged at her lips. "Don't flatter yourself, Armaan.
Armaan grinned, undaunted by Ishani's feigned disinterest. "Oh, but I'm not just flattering myself, Ishani," he said, his eyes sparkling with humor. "I'm flattering you. And rightly so, because you're as beautiful as a star-filled night sky, as bright as the sun at midday, and as irresistible as the sweetest nectar."
Ishani giggled, her cheeks flushing with pleasure. "Oh, please," she protested, though her smile betrayed her enjoyment.
