Chapter 22- Trouble In Rhodes

Bill had told us that there was a job that could get them some good money so Arthur and I headed over to Rhodes not prepared for what was to come, Micah declared "We've been waiting, did y'all go to the hotel first?"

Arthur expresses "Mind your own damn business Micah, so what exactly are we doing?" Bill says "So the Grays are in the saloon, mentioned they needed some protection, it pays good they said"

I say "What kind of security do they need?" knowing this is suspicious, Micah says "We're about to find out" as Bill, Micah, Sean, Arthur, and myself walk down the street with our guns out.

Arthur says "were stuck between some ancient feud but instead of playing both sides, were being used by both of them!!" I say "I agree with Arthur guys, were doing their dirty work!"

Micah started talking but I interrupted him "Hey hold up, something dont feel right" and as soon as I said that a bullet was shot right through Bill's skull as he fell to the ground.

it turns into a whole damn shootout, Micah starts running around like a chicken with his head cut off, Seans freaking out, and I'm shocked but meanwhile, Arthur is shootin' the hell out of everyone.

Arthur says "GET COVER!!" Micah shouts "SONS OF BITCHES" I mutter "dammit" Then all of a sudden Arthurs standing in the middle of the street shooting at everyone so I run up to put my back against him and we shoot the men from both sides.

Micah says "That was freaking incredible" I say "I've always got his back" Smirking, Sean says "Is he dead!?" arthur says "Look at him! Of course he's dead! How did you not know this was a trap!" as he continues to shoot at everyone.

I turn around for two seconds to shoot some men on the roof and I turn my back around and Arthur's gone, i freak out but continue to do my job, i hear Arthur shout so I run into the gunstore shooting all the men in there.

Arthur says "Thanks Darlin" Smiling, I think to myself "he still manages to be sweet even when we're having a shootout" We get ambushed in the store, men are coming from every angle, Sean is attempting to shoot but he's failing miserably.

I say "THEYRE COMING FROM EVERYWHERE!! WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO ARTHUR!!" he says "I got this sweetheart, dont worry" going on another shooting rampage, I say "Wait, where's Sherrif Gray?"

arthur starts yelling for him with Micah,  the sheriff says "I've been down worse men than you!! this town belongs to the Grays, always will be" I say "The only Grays round here is you! come on out Sherriff! there's nowhere to hide!!"

he walks out with Sean held at gunpoint, sheriff says "Put the guns down" Arthur says "No you put the guns down sheriff!!" he says "imma blow his brains out!" That was the sign, all three of us pulled our guns and shot all of them.

Sean says "uh I uh uh i uh thank you! I thought I was gonna die!!" I say "Sean I ain't lettin' ya die just yet, come on let's get the hell out of here" Micah says "Well that was fun!!" chuckling, I shout "FUN!? YOU THINK THIS IS FUN? BILL HAS A FREAKING BULLET IN HIS HEAD! WE JUST SHOT UP A WHOLE DAMN TOWN! WE STOLE THEIR HORSES, AND BURNED THEIR FIELDS! WHO DID YOU NOT KNOW THIS WAS A FREAKING SETUP MICAH!" as I lunge at him.

arthur grabs my arm pulling me back, Micah says "We was out trynna find a lead just like you!" i say "I would've thought this through a lot more! what is Dutch gonna say huh? when he founds out about this!?"

Micah says "All you do is complain when things dont work out except when it's your damn fault!" Arthur says "That's enough, you dont talk to MY wife like that or you'll end up like Bill with a bullet in his head! Gain some respect for her!" grabbing him by the collar his shirt.

Micah says "Oooo hohoh you act so high and mighty!! but you're not better than the rest of us!! a bunch of killers!!" I say "Shut up Micah! remember who bailed you out of jail!!" Arthur says "Sean, take his body, bury him somewhere... and Micah, it's best you and I dont speak for awhile" clearly pissed off.

I say "Come on, let's go" he says "We need to go tell Dutch the news" I say "Then we need to go away for a few days, for your own good Arthur"  he says "alright darlin' you know best" gently kissing my forehead.

we ride back into camp, Dutch says "How'd it go?" I say "Bills dead, the whole town of Rhodes are dead... Dutch somethings gotta happen soon!" he says "Bills dead?" arthur says "Yes, Sean went and buried him... this is a mess Dutch"

he says "dont worry, I have a plan!" I say "So when are we moving?" Dutch says "We're not moving right now, too much is going on, we're staying here" Arthur says "Dutch, we just shot the whole town of Rhodes! we need to get out of here!!" 

he just tells us to go away so we mount up on Arthur's horse, leaving Snowflake at camp, we go into Saint-Denis and stay at a hotel for a few days just really advancing our relationship, and taking the time for it to be just us.

within these few days, me and Arthur have really gotten close in our relationship, talking about marriage, kids, our past, getting out and even bringing John and his family along with us, but we just gotta do everything at the right time.

we mount up after our few-day stay in Saint-Denis and head back to camp, I look around for Snowflake but can't find her anywhere, I say "arthur, wheres Snowflake?" he says "I dont know, I haven't seen her, let's go look for her, it'll be alright" 

as we make the trip to look for Snowflake, we find her near the camp, lying on the ground, I jump off Arthur's horse running to her, I crouch down seeing stab marks all over her, someone killed her, on purpose.

I sit there and sob for the longest time, even Arthur managed to have a few tears fall just because that horse meant a lot to us, we ride back into camp and tell them what happened, Micah says "That was a beautiful horse" smirking evilly.

I say "Micah! What the hell did you do!!!?" he says "She ran into my knife, sorry" Clearly not sorry, me and Arthur both draw our guns as Dutch says woah woah! What's going on here!?" I say "That little bitch killed my horse!!"

dutch says "Snowflake?" I say "Yes snowflake is dead! Micah killed her!!!!!!!!" arthur says "You son of a bitch" in the most terrifying tone, it honestly made me a little scared, we had to hold Arthur back, but he managed to shoot him in the leg.

my only thoughts now "he killed her, my Snowflake is gone, i will get my revenge, that song of a bitch needs to die"
