Victor
In a hundred years, Victor would still not understand why he chose to do this.
Climbing over an empty flower pot, sliding her kitchen window open. With all his due respect, looking around the house, he remembered to take off his shoes before stepping down to the floor.
Her house feels smaller and more unfamiliar than he thought, with his feeling of her house from before, with shelves and décors. All of their curtains are closed, with an empty feeling inside the room. There's no family picture, no traditional decoration, no butterfly, Victor thought he might get in the wrong house. From what he remembered, Taylor's house used to be more lively than this.
Victor placed his shoes on the shoe cabinet. He brushes his hands together, turns to take another look around her house. But then, out of the blue, she showed up.
She's staring at him, shocked and scared. Taylor was in a position to run away. He looks up at her. In his memories, she was exactly like when he last seen, beautifully compelling.
Before she could say anything, he walked up to hug her. Victor puts his face on the crock of her neck and tries to gain what he lacks from staying away from her for so long.
She was relaxed, all of which he can be proud of. He keeps drowning in her smell of grapefruit, refusing to move apart. Taylor has her hands put on his shoulder without any obvious sign she's conscious of what's happening. He doesn't know if she will be hating him afterward, but he keeps on hugging her tighter.
They stay like that for another moment, before she comes to her sense of what he's doing. Taylor pulls back, looking at him with strange eyes, as if he's a creature falling down from the sky.
Victor stares down at her, at the dark eyes he missed, and the tempted feeling he had to push down.
Taylor
Victor made she became confused because of his very present. His touch on her skin was real and soft, she doesn't know if to worry or thrilled. He is here, like she wished him to be.
Taylor wants to hug him as if the world's coming to an end. She wants to wrap her arms around his torso, to get lost inside of him.
She resisted herself, pulling back and her skin started to feel cold.
Victor
"What are you doing here?" she asked, her face somewhat worried.
He doesn't reply right away. Victor leaning his body forward attempted to hug her again. She stopped him by his shoulder.
"You shouldn't be here," Taylor continued, as he catched a glimpse of anxiety passing her face. "Please, just get out."
He couldn't understand, she even refused to look at him. Taylor looks scared. Victor had a presentiment that something's going on. Though he doesn't know, what he should be doing with her.
"No, I won't," he said. "You're gonna tell me what's going on."
"Nothing. Just get out, you shouldn't stay here." She looks around, eyeing her house. Victor couldn't do the same as he's too focused on her. She's strange, feeling nothing like the Taylor he had known from before.
"Not until you told me what happened."
"I'll tell you later. This isn't the time."
"Now, Taylor. I need to know now."
